Sebastian thought it was obvious but apparently it’s not and that adds even more insult to injury. Blaine really doesn’t get why…it’s even worse that he’s talking to him about this? About his problems? Specifically his marriage ones? He takes a slow breath and sips his coffee, something to do so he doesn’t have to speak for a moment.
How should he even put this…
“Well just thought, I mean, should be obvious.” He laughs lightly, “I obviously have a crush on you.” He licks his lips, eyes fluttering along Blaine’s form. “I mean, who wouldn’t–you’re successful, gorgeous, kind. Hard working.” He shrugs, “I had eyes for you the moment I met you.”
“So all of this kind of just makes it a bit more difficult,” Sebastian sets his coffee down, turning the cup every so often, “Though, I don’t think I’d want to talk about this with anyone else. Probably just wouldn’t.”
Blaine gaps at Sebastian’s honesty, flushing from the string of compliments. He has to force his mouth closed as he looks down at the table, processing everything. Sebastian’s shameless flirting never went unnoticed but all this time Blaine has chalked it up to part as his charisma. He is a flirtatious guy, probably talks to everyone like that, is what he tried to convince himself—but it seems that isn’t the case.
Hearing his feelings are reciprocated definitely makes it more difficult.
Blaine takes a long sip from his coffee, swallowing hard as he sets the cup back down, clenching it in his hands. He can’t quite meet the other man’s eye, isn’t sure how he can help with this because the only idea his brain is screaming is don’t marry her! but that is just too simple, isn’t it?
“What exactly would your father do if you called it off?” Blaine asks softly, although going off how Sebastian has talked about the other man in prior, he can guess, “Not to be an idealist but…shouldn’t you do whatever makes you happy?”
