You’re a bad influence, y’know that?
Mm-hmm. Comes with the territory. So, what’s your article on? How drunk two girls can get before they start viciously attacking each other’s faces?
I should probably get to work on my article, but my instincts are telling me to get back into my pajamas’s and crack open a bottle of bourbon. I blame the weather.
Blaire’s head practically snapped around at the sound of an alluring female voice and the words that came along with it. In my opinion, one shouldn’t need an excuse to have a day or two like that. Still, in case you’re in need of some help to finish that bottle... Hello.
“If anything that’s about to leave that mouth of yours is connected to that stupid fucking article, then please zip it, turn around and walk away because I’m not discussing it with anyone.” He was already far too exhausted to meddle with more people and their questions today, as if any of them even owned the right to read about his and Rhiannon’s last encounter together before her disapperance. He had trusted Bryan with it for the sake of leads, not for them to give it away the moment he wasn’t looking.
“Oi, pretty boy - You’ve heard of ‘Netflix and chill,’ right? Seems like you’re in a deep-seated need of it.” Blaire retorted, her words dripping with a comical sarcasm. She didn’t know which article he was talking about, of course, due to her head-on determination to avoid all sorts of Ashbourne gossip and whatnot. Whatever article he was talking about seemed trivial to her; it wasn’t too infrequent that she heard word of either her or one of her friends making a page or two in the local newspaper, a photograph depicting them with a local businessman or something of the like. “Why not bask in your newfound celebrity, rather than just sulk on like this? Honestly, it’s not doing anything for your complexion.”
Lemongrass & Sleep || Blaire & Lulu
“You’ll be coming in with me, right?“ Lulu asked softly, reaching for Blaire’s hand, looking for comfort in all the wrong areas. It wasn’t that she had to have someone with her as they took her cast off, yet the thought of going in alone stir a pulsating trepidation in her chest. A moment of consolation was what Lulu longed for. Even if she had to pretend that was what she was receiving. Was she even allowed to ask Blaire that much? “Need someone there to remind the doctor that we’re here to take off my cast, not to chop my arm off.“ She quickly added with a half laugh, watching the numbers on top of the elevator slowly reached the floor she pressed for. “He’s that Dr. Mc Bootylicious I was telling you about. Ass of a gladiator. Arms of a god. Sadly that probably means he has a small dick.” God, how she hated the smell of hospitals. It reminded her too much of feeling lonely. Even after a decade and a half, the smell hadn’t changed one bit. They even had the same damn ugly paintings of country landscapes that Lulu wished she could smash with a baseball bat. She fucking hated hospitals. As the elevator doors slide open, her feet were planted on the floor, Lulu began to stammer as she reached for the button to close the doors. “You know, second thought, I could use another month with the cast. Better another month of lugging it around and calling it my lady magnet then be sorry. Besides I’m starving and I can’t deal with hot people while I’m hungry. Instead of flirting, I’ll ask if I can chew their ass.”
There was something sobering about hospitals that made one question their entire existence, and, given her own history with the sickeningly white walls and stomach-pumps due to alcohol poisoning, Blaire was no exception to the rule. Certain thoughts occurred to her, ones that she’d sworn to lock away in the far corners of her mind. More sooner than she’d liked, the realizations flooded her brain, and she couldn’t help but focus on the monologue of her mind.
If she was a perfectly honest woman, she’d tell everyone that there was no one she liked more in the world than Lulu. She’d shout it from the rooftops, which meant that she’d also be admitting it to herself - finally. Somehow, even despite the depth of their relationship, Blaire had forgotten how to be perfectly truthful with her friend. That was acceptable for everyone else, but Lulu? Lulu was different. Lulu welcomed her in a way that no one else seemed capable of, and now, here they both were, with one reaching for her hand out of what Blaire could only assume was fear.
Blaire, confused as to the sudden seriousness coloring her thoughts, simply nodded at Lulu with a slight smile and squeezed her hand in response. For once, she was knocked silent, her mind filtering through these unexpected and strangely sobering realizations. The succubus listened in silence as her friend spoke on, raising her eyebrows as Lulu began to worm her way out of the situation. “Are you saying that you can’t deal with me, then? Oof, blow to the ego, which means that I am definitely making sure you walk your pretty lil’ head in there.” She let out a little chuckle, hoping to lighten the atmosphere and pulled Lulu towards her. Her instincts told her to give the other woman a kiss, and she laid a quick, gentle peck on Lulu’s lips before saying, “I’m here with you, Lu. And we are definitely getting burgers after this - maybe even with that hot doctor of yours.” She gave Lulu a wink and stepped out of the elevator and headed to the reception desk to notify them that Lulu was here for her appointment.
“You know” Darius called from his spot in the middle of the room where he was sitting. He turned a bit in his seat to face the door, making the woman in his lap have to shift as well. “This is a night club. As in our hours of operation are when the sun is down. And since I don’t see this room full with drunk patrons, i’m going to have to assume night has yet to plague us.” He pushed the woman off his completely so he could stand. “So you’re obviously not here to mingle, tell me; what is it that you want?”

Blaire knew better than to talk business with Darius during work hours, and so she paid her work a visit in the daytime, noting how awfully average it looked with the sun shining on it. With a hangover plaguing her head and the chill of winter at her back, she bore a scowl as she walked in, hoping that Darius would be somewhat reasonable when they talked. As though to prove her hope entirely fruitless, he greeted her rather callously, and she couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the sight of the girl on his lap. And, to think, that had been her at one point. She scoffed and responded directly, “I want a raise. And you’re gonna give me one.” In any other situation, she would’ve used the charms inherent to a succubus such as herself, but Darius was no simple situation to deal with, after all.
He didn’t, not really. I’m adopted. Lucky me, right? Blaire’s reaction immediately sent her into alarm, mostly due to the fact that the two of them seemed to share some kind of relationship. It wasn’t rare for Alistair to practically stalk a woman out to hit on them, but the fact that he’d chosen Blaire as one of his victims left her rather furious. Shut up. It’s not fucking funny. Knowing her friend, she’d probably meant for her response to be light-hearted and humorous, but Valerius was too far gone to feel anything other than annoyed. He’s such a fucking creep, I just… fuck! Visibly pissed off, Val finished off her beer before throwing her cup to the ground and stomping on it with her foot.
Good, because I was wondering just how in the hell someone like him produced someone so hot, honestly. Blaire couldn’t stop herself from cackling, the sound of her own wheezy smoker’s laugh enough to prevent her friend’s words from entering her ears, though not enough to distract from the display Val made as she stomped on the ground. Well there’s no need to throw a tantrum and be a child about it, eh, Val? After all, Sissy might have to scold you. Or...would I actually be ‘Mommy’ in this twisted little Greek tragedy of ours? Either way, are you actually this revolted? Because, between the two of us, we could very easily swindle those deep pockets of his and just make off like Thelma and Louise. Just a thought.
As if that’ll ever happen. I’m perpetually fucking awesome. Valerius smiled with all the glee of a young child on Christmas morning before shaking her head. Nah. I’ll stick with my cheap beer, thanks. A small crease formed in between her brows at Blaire’s physical response to the news, though the rest of her face remained indifferent. She was used to receiving such a reaction that it barely fazed her anymore. Wrong, unfortunately. He’s my dad.
Blaire let out a mostly sarcastic scoff at Val’s words. As much of an asshole as she could be, Val was pretty enjoyable in her own weird way, and there weren’t many people in the town that she could bother to tolerate past the façade she put on while working. Suit yourself. She shrugged and pulled out the lighter from the pack, stopping as soon as Val spoke, briefly thankful for the unlit cigarette that fell from her mouth and hit her shoe before returning to the, frankly, rather disturbing piece of information Val shared. Since when the flying fuck did Alistair Stone have a kid? Your dad is literally at the Inferno every single night I work. He’s completely obsessed, it’s... You’re seriously not joking? I guess that makes us all a fucking Greek tragedy, right. Maybe it was her more twisted sense of humor, or maybe it was out of a fear yet to be fully realized, but for whatever reason, Blaire couldn’t help but laugh almost uncontrollably. Fucking ironic that it’s his tip money that bought your cheap beer and my taco. In a way, he’s brought us together, hasn’t he? So, thanks to your...daddy.
Then what will? Please — do tell, in case you get so annoying that I need to resort to it, which will be any day now. Valerius allowed the right corner of her mouth to uplift slightly, although she refused to give Blaire the satisfaction of a full grin. It’s going to take a lot more alcohol for me to not be an ass to you. But I suppose this is a start. Oh, and it’s Stone. Clinking her cup with Blaire’s, Val promptly took a generous sip.
Hmm. The second you stop being interesting, you’ll be looking at my ass instead of my face. She took one last sip from her cup, wondering how it had gone so quickly. Either way, lucky you. Care for a cigarette? Blaire pulled out her pack and brought one to her lips, extending the offer over to her companion as she spoke. When Val revealed her surname, Blaire’s brows furrowed and she turned her attention completely to the other woman, wide-eyed and almost fearful of the answer. Stone? No relation to Alistair, right?
God knows I wouldn’t allow that to happen. Whoever did it clearly isn’t an evil mastermind like the two of us. Val rolled her eyes. Your alcohol dependency would be concerning if I actually cared about you. But I’m willing to go along with it if it means you’ll shout me one too. I didn’t dress up. I’m terrifying enough on my own.
Yup, you’re about 6ft worth of pure terror and heartless bitching, but those aren’t the determining factors of what’ll drive me away. Blaire walked over to the food truck and placed her order. You, Valerius whatever-the-fuck-your-surname-is, can make me shiver all the way down to my knickers as much as you like, but just remember who’s buying you a beer without a single hesitation. Receiving the two beers, she passed one over to Val, and took a swig out of her own. Drink up, me hearties, yo-ho.
Then I guess I would give you a good punch in the face for not inviting me to join you. You know I like to be involved in those kind of shenanigans. Val’s lips curled into a small smile. Definitely sounds like a sight for sore eyes.
Blaire chuckled to herself lightly. If there was one cock-up in the grand plan, it was you not being invited to join in - not the fact that whoever did do it has now let an even bitchier version of the Devil’s Dame herself loose on the town. Honestly, it’s shit like this that makes me want to drink at... She paused to check her phone for the time. At 10 AM, apparently. Think that food truck will sell me a beer if I buy a taco? Oh, and by the way, I made a fucking great nun. What were you, a pretty little princess or something?
I wouldn’t believe you for a fucking minute. Even you’re not crazy enough to do something like that.
Me and a combination of booze and too much fucking candy corn? Anything could happen, really. But, I was playing the part of a nun that night, and a holy person running away from a less-than holy scene would’ve been quite the view, I imagine.
Whoever the hell decided to burn Bitcherine’s house to the ground is my fucking idol. Seriously, it’s about time someone told her to shove it.
What would you do if I told you that you’re looking at her?
It was cold. Really cold. Teresa was starting to regret her decision of going outside, moving along and with the crowd of children that knocked on every available door, clad in roller skates. Did she want to go trick-or-treating, despite her age? Hell yes, but her costume somewhat made it harder – Jubilation Lee, her costume inspiration, after all, was a Marvel character only comic readers would know. Oh well, she didn’t want people to recognize her anyway. Maybe she should go to the Halloween party everyone was talking about – it seemed to be open for the whole community, or so she’s heard. She looks at her half-empty, half-full, half-whatever bag of candies she had, and shrugged. Maybe going wouldn’t be such a bad idea. “Excuse me,” she asked a passing stranger who seemed to know where they were going, “do you know where the Halloween party is being held?”
As much fun as the holiday could provide, Blaire hadn’t truly enjoyed it since she was a child. In her mind, Ashbourne and Halloween were almost synonymous - spooky to an extent, and with the tendency towards the boring and redundant. But, with the announcement of another party (and likely a better one than the one the Irvings routinely tried to pass off), Blaire decided to give it a go.
Knowing full well that the local costume shop would be picked over by now, she’d resorted to picking up the bare bones of a nun habit - thankfully one that wasn’t blessed, or she’d have quite a bit of trouble handling her abilities tonight. Still, it gave her a laugh, the implications of such a costume contradicting her own occupation entirely. Ah well. If a costume was required to get some free candy, food, and booze, she was in - no matter how ridiculous a nun’s headdress looked when worn with a short black dress.
As she walked along the cobbles tinged with the orange glow of lamplight from above, her soulsucker senses alerted her to the presence of another - one with a rather delicious lifeforce, she had to admit - before their voice did, and she stopped immediately in her tracks and turned to face the girl, putting on as warm of a smile as she could manage. After all, she was practiced in the art of performance, and the act never quite seemed to stop.
“Depends on which one you’re talking about,” Blaire started in response. “The Irvings are throwing one, as per, but those are always terrible, so I’d recommend heading over to the one at Irving Square.” She took notice of the bag of candies in the girl’s hand and grinned mischievously. “Got a sweet tooth, huh?”
“Holy smokes!”
Letting the smoke curl out of her lips, a sense of relief come over Victoria almost immediately. Her eyes flickering closes, the calm that filled her with each inhale of the drug was addicting. The tension and worry that had been running through the town recently had given her a sense of power. The new events came with opportunities no matter what anyone said. But with more pressure and security from her parents because of the threats, her home and become almost like a prison. She just wanted a night to forget, a distraction. Many distractions. A reckless, quick, easy, thoughtless, fun night what on the agenda. She didn’t care what or who with, just something to get rid of her her negative emotions. Stubbing her joint out on the floor with her heel, a soft smile curled at her lips as she caught sight of someone looking over at her. “What do you say to a little fun tonight?”
Blaire had fallen into something of a routine as of late, her day-to-day life collapsing into an all-too existence of predictability. Recently, her job had taken a bit of a hit; an ounce of terror here and there and suddenly, everyone was too afraid to leave their damned bedrooms. And, seeing as her occupation didn’t quite lend itself to making house calls -although there were a fair few who she could make an exception for - Blaire found herself with a part-time job as a secretary for a law office, a job meant for normal people without a near-constant urge to feed off of someone’s life force. The lessened amount of free time that came with the job simply equated to less fun, a reality that made itself even more apparent as she spied a young, pretty girl aimlessly smoking a joint. Christ, it’d been forever since she’d had one, and so the brunette made her way to the other girl, lips quirked upwards in a knowing smirk, prepared to use her soulsucker charms if necessary. The slight smile diminished immediately as the blonde stubbed out the joint, to which Blaire rolled her eyes before realizing that she was being addressed. “Fun?” The brunette repeated, almost incredulously. “I’m sure you and I have very different ideas of fun, blondie,” she responded, letting out a low chuckle. “For example, I wouldn’t have let that joint go. In fact, I would’ve given it to the pretty lady walking towards you, who, coincidentally, hasn’t had a smoke in quite some time.”
“Of all the dumb things to take, he stole my roses… C’mon, they were outside the gate jackass!” Alistair had no idea of why he was shouting out at the empty street, knowing the thief was no where near to hear him and probably wouldn’t even care about the loss of this new, expensive decor. “Bastard, I’ll get him back…” The last part came out as a mumble, kicking the ground under his feet before he looked back up again, noticing a figure standing close to the mansion gate. How the hell had he missed the person standing there? “Having fun?” he said out loud, tone a bit sharp.
Truth be told, Blaire missed him. Or, perhaps more accurately, she’d missed the steady flow of both his cash and his life force. Regardless, the brunette had taken it upon herself to make a visit, if only to remind her most devoted client of her presence - little red dress and all. Spying a pair of roses sticking just out of the gate, Blaire picked them, deciding that it’d be a nice match to the rest of her appearance. A few moments more and she stopped suddenly, a bit of a smirk appearing at the sight of Alistair ranting about before noticing her. “Why, yes. But I always have fun when I’m around you. Were you looking for something?” She asked, hand bringing attention to the newly-placed bloom in her hair.
valeriusstone:
If it involves you and Lulu, I’m in. Just some assholes from school. But it’s okay, they’ll be out of my hair soon. I’m sure their summer plans include threesomes and cheap beer rather than extra classes.
Three hot girls as the supreme overlords of a shithole town like this? Fuck yes. As for your little boy problem... I gotta admit, it’s not the worst summer one could plan. You gotta have a break sometimes, right? Seriously, hang out with Lulu and me one weekend. I’m sure you’d enjoy it more than extra classes - threesomes and cheap beer and all.
