My new OCs, Buttons and her little boy, Joseph Stoke. Originally Silent Hill inspired, I eventually gave them a little bit of that trauma magic, and now Joseph is more or less intended to be the embodiment of my own religious trauma while Buttons is his guardian.

Their lore, for anyone curious: Joseph had started showing signs of homosexuality at a very young age and was killed by cruelty and negligence when his parents and the church tried to exorcise the demons that they believed he had. Buttons protects his wandering spirit, and she manifests as a beast when they come across someone or something that would hurt Joseph. If who or what they come across is harmless, Buttons will simply look like a German Shepherd, but she will still be fiercely protective of Joseph. Joseph can't see her beast form; she always appears as a German Shepherd to him.
