Chin up, it’ll all be good in the end.
That I will agree with.

chrisharper:
Chin up, it’ll all be good in the end.
That I will agree with.
chrisharper:
Makes sense. Give it some time, maybe it’ll become clearer?
I certainly hope so.
chrisharper:
Right, of course. Is there a ‘but’ somewhere in there or is that all you think of the subject?
I don’t really know. It’s an uncomfortable position for any child to be in and I think I’m fairly split between wanting to give him my full support and wanting to yell at him for doing this to my mom.
chrisharper:
I’ll bet. What made him do it now after all this time?
Something about it being closer to the end of his life and him wanting to live it true to himself, which any sane person can understand.
chrisharper:
He what now? That’s huge. How are you taking it?
I’m happy for him, of course, but it’s just very strange.
chrisharper:
Really? How’d that happen?
Still, I’m sorry you’re going through that now.
It’s a little crazy. My dad came out recently.
chrisharper:
Sounds like a good time, though. No, you didn’t tell me anything about them. What happened?
They’re getting divorced.
And it’s okay, before you apologize.
chrisharper:
I figured it wasn’t really your thing, but hey, I appreciate the interest.
How are you doing, though? What’s new?
Oh, you know, nothing much outside of work and spending time with Matt. Did I tell you about my parents? I can’t honestly recall.
chrisharper:
Anything to do with the Greyjoys and the Iron Islands. If we’re talking about Game of Thrones spin-offs, that is.
I don’t even know why I asked that when I was aware I wouldn’t understand your answer. But, once again, I’ll nod, smile, and wish you good luck!
chrisharper:
Pretty solid, yeah. It’s no Game of Thrones, but hey, maybe this is my stepping stone to getting to direct one of those spin-offs. It’ll do wonders for my CV, it’s true.
Do you have a dream spin-off you’d like to direct?
chrisharper:
Yeah, it just started airing and it’s already been renewed for seasons 2 and 3 so it might just be a more long-term project if they like my work. I appreciate that, and I’ll be sure to let you know when that happens.
That’s incredible! It must have fabulous reviews. And, even if they don’t keep you on, it’s bound to look splendid on your CV.
chrisharper:
It’s the small screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s book, it’s very interesting. A little gory, so maybe you’re better off not knowing about it. I will, however, take that hug, thank you.
Oh, I have heard of the novel, yes! I didn’t realize they made it into a television show, though you’re probably right that I wouldn’t enjoy it. Still, I’ll be tuning in to your episode when it airs.
chrisharper:
I’m gonna be directing an episode of Americ@n Gods, and I can’t tell you how excited I am for this. It’s gonna be infinitely better than directing commercials which is what I’ve been doing the past few months.
I feel like I should know what that is, but since I don’t, I’m going to nod, smile, and give you a hug congratulations!
liamcourttt:
Don’t forget it.
Thank you, Liam.
liamcourttt:
I’m serious. Caring for animals in pain, ones that could act out and hurt you? Plus, you do all those surgeries, too. Definitely badass.
Huh. I guess I’m a little bit of a badass, after all.
liamcourttt:
Really. I couldn’t do it.
Now, that I don’t believe one bit!
liamcourttt:
Saving them from pain, too. Which is pretty badass.
Badass, really? No... no way.
