okay the thing with the part of the Deltarune prophecy that we don't know yet is that the common consensus is that it has to do with Kris losing their hand or something to do with Ralsei and that just doesn't feel right to me? Like they're all pretty plausible theories but the thing about chapter 3 especially is that the Shadow Mantle game is solely about the weird route, it has nothing to do with the normal game routes. What if the prophecy, the part that Ralsei keeps hidden, is about the weird route? Because the contents of the Shadow Mantle game isn't dependent on what you do, it will always be about the weird route, just how like the prophecy will always be what is written, and how no matter what you do you can't change what will happen (according to Ralsei, even if he doesn't want to believe it).

I feel like this makes sense to me solely because of Susie's reaction to the last part of the prophecy, how she breaks the glass as soon as she's done reading and processing what it says. If the theory was about Kris losing a hand, I feel like she wouldn't have been nearly as shocked and would probably say something about Ralsei overreacting and how that would be easy to avoid. If it was about Ralsei being evil or not who he says or something, Susie would be a lot more shocked and openly hurt than silent. She wouldn't just laugh about Ralsei betraying them, she would ask him directly about it because that's how she is.

But a prophecy about Noelle? A prophecy that shows her dying or being "used up"? THAT would make her shatter the glass, that would make her shut down and force a laugh. Because Noelle isn't someone Susie wants in the dark worlds in the first place, she doesn't want her to get hurt, and Noelle is someone that she gets nervous butterflies over and someone who's really nice to be around, why would she be a part of the prophecy? Why does it say that she's going to get hurt? To die?

Idk but I really like the idea of the whole "If we can just be nice, the prophecy won't happen" rhetoric from Ralsei relating to the idea that the Weird route is the route that's supposed to happen, the one that the prophecy tells you about, the story the Shadow Mantle game follows, and the one that Ralsei wanted to completely redact from his story. And that the part of the story he ESPECIALLY didn't want Kris and Susie to see is the outcome of the Weird route.
