thinking about borderlands details. gun manufacturers run entire planets. everyone is looking for giant alien vaults meant to keep horrible things inside. one woman who didnt even ask for her powers is being turned into the savior of millions. there can only be six people with her type of power in the universe and they are dying at such a fast rate. but we still get to see some bits of Pandora grow up. Moxxi is still running her bar. We can move planets but the core is still the fact that there are people who want to live, and live they will.

Time Period: Full Borderlands timeline; Was in his mid-to-late 20s during the events of Borderlands 1 and lived in the Dust during the Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2. Current story takes place shortly before/right at the start of Borderlands 3.

Summary: After an 'unfortunate incident' that left him scarred and branded a wanted criminal on Eden-6, Valentine was forced to flee. He soon found himself on Pandora and was taken in by the Hodunks. Moxxi became his guardian, and Val spent the remainder of his teen years growing up with Ellie and Scooter.

When it was time to leave the nest, he wandered the wastes and eventually landed at the Goose's Roost in the Dust. After several waves of attacks from (B2) Vault Hunters, Valentine fled the Roost and set up camp in the Droughts.

He owes his survival to his faithful companion, Sweetie, an incredibly intelligent and truly massive bird of undetermined species from some unknown planet. (Sweetie is 4ft 10in tall and has a 12ft wingspan. He is canonically smarter than Valentine and strong enough to carry up a fully grown person + that person's additional gear/armor/weapons).

A fateful trip to a Gun Expo in the Highlands, a sizable explosion, and his apathetic "yeah, why not?" attitude made him what he is now-- an ATLAS merc fighting to protect Promethea... and maybe hunt down a vault or two along the way.
