I’ve reblogged this post a ton of times, and I always love saying how I was lucky enough to get to see her perform this piece in person when I visited MoMA as a teenager. I never understood it then, albeit I was young and the world of art was still slowly carving its mark onto me. But it’s undoubtedly one of those pieces I understand far more upon walking away from it, turning around, and then turning back to look at it one more time. It’s a beautiful representation of what it means to be patient, what it means to fully be. I can never get over this piece, there’s just something about it
