Again, Happy 26 years! Still have my precious PS1 copy of Final Fantasy IX decorating the game shelf - and yes, disc has art by the Yoshitaka Amano, the concept artist and character/creature designer for the franchise since the very beginning!! Been meaning to replay it for the longest time.. but time's always an issue with JRPGs 🙈 In hindsight it's so absurd how we even managed to play it and made such long progress without even properly knowing English at the time! 😅 Despite certain events in the story, I still regard it as a highly comfy game; and like the main menu theme, A Place to Call Home — or as the song's literal translation says even better, The Place I'll Return to Someday. 🙏
