Nobody knows where little Katsee came from or even what she is. But when she came up to a roaming caravan, tired and hungry, nobody there bothered to ask. As she became part of her new family, they all came to know her as a nice, soft-spoken, mild-mannered girl with a big heart, despite appearances. Her self-consciousness made her fearful of being seen as her odd self, wrapping herself in scarves and layers of clothing.
Her childlike personality charmed those who had pleasant conversations with her and, naturally, was popular with the children. She has an inquisitive mind, yet is quite gullible, easily falling into her friends' pranks. Her naivete, however, allows her to serve as a mediator in disputes among her friends whenever fights break out. She detests violence and would try her hardest to prevent it.
Despite being physically frail and clumsy, she makes up for her surprising constitution as she can withstand just about anything she consumes; a surprising discovery when she accidentally finished half a bottle of Uncle Merry's secret moonshine when she was thirsty.
She loved to sing and usually joined in whenever a song was played during campfires. It was her favourite hobby to learn new songs to play and sing as the caravan travelled across Faerun.
She had left the caravan to travel on her own once she discovered how to use magic one day. At first, the basic spell-flinging was harmless; she usually uses them to impress the children. But there was one time a pack of gnoll bandits came upon the caravan, and they were not satisfied with just taking their month's supply of food and the gold they had worked for. Seeing her family getting hurt sent her to the edge, and she started using the spells and was unable to restrain herself. The destruction she caused was so chaotic and severe that the gnolls were driven off, terrified of her. She had reduced a gnoll to ash while another was horribly maimed. Not even one of the caravans was safe in her trance, blown to bits with one of her spells.
She was horrified to learn what happened after she regained her consciousness, and her family, while grateful she had saved their lives, now looked to her with a hint of fear. She had eavesdropped in on one of their hushed meetings one night, which they considered leaving her in the next town for their safety. Feeling dejected, she packed her stuff, said her farewells to the friends she had made in the caravan and left quietly into the night. She kept the scarf, the hat and the apron the children made for her and cherished them fondly so she wouldn't forget.
She now travels the world and into more strange places in Faerun that she never had the chance to visit with her caravan.
