life update ♡

this is just for anyone curious or for my two beloved tumblr friends that i accidentally ghosted because i forgot my password again to this account

to put it simply, i am thriving. i am genuinely beginning the life i've dreamed of. i moved out of my parent's place and into my own studio apartment right by the lake where i can bus/walk anywhere i want to. i'm a regular at a coffee shop and my apartment is coloful but minimalistic. i can comfortably afford rent, therapy, groceries, and small indulgences. i've reconnected with old friends and went to two concerts for the first time since probably 2017. this was the first year i didn't cry on my birthday.

of course i still have my down moments and my anxiety, but it is nowhere near as constant as before. i've started talking about my undiscussed trauma in therapy as of last wednesday and survived that night by myself which i never thought i could do. i thought it was a story i would take to the grave.

i'm starting to learn how to be comfortable alone, support myself, and self-soothe. this time last year i was borderline suicidal in a job i hated in a toxic environment. it's truly amazing what a year can do.

thank you to everyone who has shown me love and support. those words and memes and art and jokes have really gotten me here in one piece and i love y'all.
