She’d not waste a second to hug her dear cousin and just spin her around. Why wouldn’t she want to love her and goof around with her?

    “Woah!” caught by surprise she tried not to squirm too much as she spin her, afraid that by showing any signs of discomfort might make her cousin to stop and her form of happiness to go along with it. Eva didn’t mind being called little.. but still - 

     “It-it’s nice to see you too Belle!” Eva said, catching the moment to grasp herself and stop the wave of dizziness.  “W-what are you doing here? Visiting? Is uncle here too?”

---”Yup! Papa and I came over to see you and my uncles.”

---”Abel couldn’t come with us. He’s kinda sick, so I came here with papa only.”

Before she could add anything more to the details of her arrival her smile formed back on her lips as she intended to show something to her young cousin. A little “something” she made all by herself (and with a bit of help of her lavender haired father)

  “How do you know I won’t just steal ‘em from you?”        He gnaws on his straw with vigor. It’s not really a straw anymore.

—”I … appreciate you want to clean up that chimney, so dad has less work to do, but New Year’s Eve is already over. I doubt a chimney sweep will bring any luck late in this year.”

—”Also, you’re surely not immune to the cold, Abel. Take at least the jacket, for Kami’s sake …”

Clutching to her own big and overly warm jacket she levitated forward to her younger sibling who, in all of the days he could have chosen, decided to sweep the dust out of the chimney while the snow increased more and more with each second. Thank Kami there was no harsh wind blowing, but it was still kind of chilly and hybrids surely weren’t spared of catching illnesses especially on such days.

As Belle’s patient cut short and her worry increased she landed carefully on top of the building and groaning a bit in frustration as she made it as her duty to forcefully get the other dirty hybrid in the jacket as she pulled his arm and tried to pull it on him.

Abel knew he could get sick, but the coat was in the way as he cleaned. He watched his older sister fly up to meet him. Brows pulled together, showing his small annoyance. He was was old enough to put on his own jacket. The young man shook off his sister as she tried to put on his jacket for him, “I got it! Not much of a child anymore,” he lightly snapped, taking the jacket from her grasp, “Thanks…” he said after a couple of seconds, putting on his warm jacket. Abel was happy she was thinking about him, though.

“I thought it wouldn’t take too long, that’s one reason I didn’t take it in the first place. Plus…it sort of got in the way,” he said with a sniff. Abel wiped his cheek, getting off the dirt that collected there, “Dad needs a break anyway. I thought papa and dad could have a day to themselves. They’ve been busy every day it seems.”

---”They surely were and papa seems very weary lately. He tried to assure me he was fine, but his facade is pretty much crumbles already. I just hope dad manages to work some wonders on him.”

---”Well ... Let me help you get this stuff done, so we can move on to clean the house for a bit. Papa and dad are resting in their bedroom, so it’s all good.”

Their parents were surely blessed to have children who took their housework upon themselves and help along to reduce their stress. It wasn’t like no other kid would do that for their family, but that also wasn’t very common. The siblings merely did what they deemed to be necessary to do to assist each other.
