I want to rest. I want to breathe quietly again.

"Heyyy Abel! Do you know you're the best little brother in human history and an amazing cook and could you please bake some brownies for me cuz I'm hungry? Please?" Cue for her ocean blue eyes to sprakle like puppy eyes. ((dERP))
âI would âve almost said thank you, but you ruined itâŠyou ruined the complement, Belle,â he sighed through his nose, âFine, since I am the best little brother in human history, and I love you, Iâll make themâŠâ

ââThey surely were and papa seems very weary lately. He tried to assure me he was fine, but his facade is pretty much crumbles already. I just hope dad manages to work some wonders on him.â
ââWell ⊠Let me help you get this stuff done, so we can move on to clean the house for a bit. Papa and dad are resting in their bedroom, so itâs all good.â
Their parents were surely blessed to have children who took their housework upon themselves and help along to reduce their stress. It wasnât like no other kid would do that for their family, but that also wasnât very common. The siblings merely did what they deemed to be necessary to do to assist each other.
âBoth our dads put on masks, Belle. Itâs actually a bit of a let down. I wish they could be honest with us sometimes.â he said, eyes looking on the roof top now. Abel understand the lying when they were kids. They were just kids after all. But now they were young adults. Why couldnât they just share what was going on with them? They could handle anything. Didnât their parents know that?
Abel looked at his older sister with a warm smile. He dusted off the ash that was collected on his hands. He should have worn some gloves. Oh well. He was a saiyan, he could handle getting dirty for a while, âSounds fair. Hopefully they leave the house. They need time to themselves. Honestly, they do.â
Their family was close and would do anything for one another. It was rare. They, the kids, were more than happy to clean the house for their parents. Most children wouldnât even come close to even coming up with this thought. But Abel was more than happy to assist. Besides, he was surrounded by family at work too. It came natural. He worked with his uncles, and got to see their grandparents. But Abel had never really introduced that he was their grandchild from the future.
Iâm gonna beat the holy fuck fucking fuckedy fuck out of you

ââI ⊠appreciate you want to clean up that chimney, so dad has less work to do, but New Yearâs Eve is already over. I doubt a chimney sweep will bring any luck late in this year.â
ââAlso, youâre surely not immune to the cold, Abel. Take at least the jacket, for Kamiâs sake âŠâ
Clutching to her own big and overly warm jacket she levitated forward to her younger sibling who, in all of the days he could have chosen, decided to sweep the dust out of the chimney while the snow increased more and more with each second. Thank Kami there was no harsh wind blowing, but it was still kind of chilly and hybrids surely werenât spared of catching illnesses especially on such days.
As Belleâs patient cut short and her worry increased she landed carefully on top of the building and groaning a bit in frustration as she made it as her duty to forcefully get the other dirty hybrid in the jacket as she pulled his arm and tried to pull it on him.
Abel knew he could get sick, but the coat was in the way as he cleaned. He watched his older sister fly up to meet him. Brows pulled together, showing his small annoyance. He was was old enough to put on his own jacket. The young man shook off his sister as she tried to put on his jacket for him, âI got it! Not much of a child anymore,â he lightly snapped, taking the jacket from her grasp, âThanks...â he said after a couple of seconds, putting on his warm jacket. Abel was happy she was thinking about him, though.
âI thought it wouldnât take too long, thatâs one reason I didnât take it in the first place. Plus...it sort of got in the way,â he said with a sniff. Abel wiped his cheek, getting off the dirt that collected there, âDad needs a break anyway. I thought papa and dad could have a day to themselves. Theyâve been busy every day it seems.â

The butchery of his name engendered a disgusted frown and the royal folded his arms across his chest but voiced no more of his displeasure.  Despite whatever the bratâs fatherâs expected of this âtendingâ, Vegeta preserved no further sentimental attachments regardless of how the boy was half-Saiyan.  This was his kingdom, that would not change.
Vegeta had forgotten the child trailing along till they had reached his study and shoved the door ajar.  The half-breed chattered inquisitively and the Saiyan prince spared a glance before permitting the boy inside.  The room smelt of earthy scents and aged paper, bright with the spill of sunlight across the study.
â I have some ledgers to assess, but I suppose they could wait⊠were you not born with a tail, boy? â
At the mention of appetites, Vegeta directed the half-Saiyan toward a tray of fresh snacks settled across another table before reaching for the heated kettle of tea.Â
Abel immediately took a liking to his study. He could feel the heat from the sunrays that entered through the window. The smell of sweet earth and the tint of old paper put him at ease. These smells reminded him of his parents. All that was missing was the scent of machine. Ebony eyes had gazed upon the food tray his grandpa had motioned towards.
The small boyâs legs walked up to the table the tray sat upon. Abel stood on his toes to look at the selection. He was always ready to eat, âSo you like to eat! So saiyans do, expect for my papa. He doesnât eat too much, but daddy does!â he said with a giggle.
Upon hearing his comment about his tail; Abel looked up at his grandpa, âI think I was. I donât remember. But my parents cut it off for safety of our home.â
