Ragna shrugged a little at Kokonoe’s reason for smiling. He didn’t fully buy it, then again, he pegged her as the kind to never go into the sun, so it was possible.

While Kokonoe went dipping, Ragna remained where he was, feeling the sand slowly cover his feet. This was a small moment of peace, and he’d likely end up cherishing it.

Kokonoe smiled and took in the fresh air, being in the sun like this was always amazing...even if it was spending it with Ragna, but oh well no use in complaining. “I have to admit, this is fun.”

He was simply taking in the breeze and letting the cool water hit his legs. He wasn’t a big fan of doing much at the beach. Wouldn’t that destroy the point of relaxation? 

Ragna was a bit shocked though. To see Kokonoe, giving an actual smile? It was a little … almost unnerving, but he let it be.

“I guess I am. What about yourself? You seem to be actually smiling. Never thought I would see that unless you were about to kill me.”

Kokonoe’s face went red from the sudden topic of her actually smiling as she turned away from him. “I-I am just happy to be able to enjoy the sun.” She lied as she took a deep breath and sank down into the water feeling suddenly shy.

“Says the one who literally just hissed at me.” Ragna actually teased a bit before following her out to the water, also taking in how cool it was compared to the heat from the sun. It was refreshing, if nothing else.

He then watched her pick up the starfish, shaking his head a bit. What the hell was she expecting? Nonetheless, he didn’t actually question Kokonoe this time, opting on going deeper into the water so it came up to his knees.

Kokonoe was so distracted with all the different star fish that she was actually smiling for one in a sense of calmness. she more she watched she kinda wanted to take one home as a pet, but knew taking it from its home could be horrible. 

So after watching the star fish she made her way into the water a bit more till she was standing next to Ragna. “Enjoying yourself?” She smiled tilting her head a bit placing a hand on her hip.

“I thought you didn’t want to go in the water?” Ragna asked as he looked at the remains of a ruined sand castle. Looked not half bad, considering the short amount of time that went into it.

“But hey, if you changed your mind, I am not going to complain. It’ll be a good way to cool off.” He said, simply dropping the bottle with the rest of her supplies.

Kokonoe tilted her head “I’m not that much of a damn cat!” She hissed a bit before turning away and making her way to the water. It was a nice feeling and wasn’t as cold as she thought it would be, though even if it was she wouldn’t have been able to tell since its been so hot outside. 

“Ah~ its so nice~.” She smiled wiggling her toes in the sand and looked down to see a star fish, picking it up she twitched a bit from the feeling. “its all slimy.”

“What, why do you want to know this all the sudden.” Though since they had some free time on their hands she figured she would just tell him anyway. “Well..its wasn’t really all that you were actually mostly there all I did was pull you out of it and ‘nursed’ you back to health.”
