I'm just a not so average 29 year-old Canadian cartoonist who likes to draw Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent fanart. I am also the admin of an Octopath Traveler collab called "Project Path Action".
Octopath's 8th Anniversary "Claim-And-Draw" - OPEN
July 13th marks the 8th Anniversary of our beloved series! So Project Path Action wants to celebrate, but we need your participation!
PPA is hosting a "Claim-And-Draw" collaboration, where you claim a character and then your draw them however you wish (SFW, of course, as well as following the guidelines provided).
The rules are written in the ALT Text, but are also able to be read on the spreadsheet, which you can view here:

You can take a second character after you have submitted your first character.
If you have had from one of the OCTOPATH namesakes from OT1, CotC, or OT2 then you cannot take another (Example: If you have taken an OT2 namesake character as your first character, you can not take from the OT1 or CotC namesake characters). This includes the Guardians of the Light as well.
If your first character is from one of the "Greater Categories", you must take from one of the "Lesser Categories" for your second character. If your first character is from one of the "Lesser Categories", you are welcome to choose either another "Lesser" character or any of the available "Greater" ones.
If you have finished your second character, you can request any character that is not on the list, allowing you to pick a character that is more catered to you as an artist and fan. This is beneficial if you have a favourite that is not included originally in the listing, a favourite NPC not playable in CotC, or maybe a favourite 5-Star. 4-Star, or 3-Star from CotC. The only exception of characters who are not allowed are double versions, such as Tiziano.
Drawings are due on July 10th. Reminders will be sent each month after you've taken a character until the due date.
I will post the collab on July 13th, 2026, anyone who participated will be allowed to share their art independently on July 14th, 2026.

Each of the above characters are included in the list on the spreadsheet. Some are already claimed, but some remain open!

Most characters come from Champions of the Continent, but there are just too many good ones not to include them! We also kept some space open in case a character we never thought of comes up.

And I just can't wait to see more with Erhardt, and to meet the merchant in the center of this image!
I am not sure who the three that are also there, the one that is standing next to Erhardt has a bit of a mercenary type vibe, while the two (assumed) blonde people look like they have a similar hair colour to Erhardt, so maybe they're family members? If Erhardt has a little sister, I might actually cry, that sounds adorable.
If Erhardt can be playable, not as Wrath, but as Erhardt in a happier timeline, I think that would make me so overjoyed. I am also excited to hopefully travel to a non limbo version of Hornburg too!
Erhardt rambles aside, I am also glad that this new story is finding ways to show off the unreleased Travelers, formerly called "Forbidden 30" from me, they will now be the "Unchosen Ones" until they are showcased in this story as a "Chosen One".
There are a lot we should see because of this, since there are so many in Orsterran uniforms (specifically clerics).
Has anyone out there ripped OT0 sprite sheets yet?
I have all the Traveler aside from a few of the Guardians, OT1 8, and the "secret" ones, but I also would like to know if anyone has the pieces for the Protagonist compiled together. NPCs would be a nice bonus too, because nearly all NPCs from OT0 have ugly coloured sprites in CotC.
