Some thoughts just to put them down for myself uhh
Cicella for Nozomi is from The Three Fairies, which is a very classic "Good girl rewarded VS Lazy girl punished" fairytale. Shes works hard to help some fairies & is modest when offered a gift and is rewarded by three fairies with beautiful clothes, hair , and a star falls upon her forehead as she leaves their realm. When her lazy stepsister goes to the fairy realm to seek the same rewards but complains and demands the gifts she's punished for it (and dies in the end)
Mainly to tie into Nozomi's good girl complex, never wanting to complain, take what's given to you (and the dream of one day being rewarded for that), as well as the shifting of roles when it attacks her due to the rejection symptoms/persona surpression meds wearing off, where it, as the idealised Good Daughter attempts to kill Nozomi as the evil Failure Daughter in the situation. The star that was granted to her as gift sitting upon her forehead also kind of meant to represent Karua as the idealised Nozomi in a sense
Im not 100% sure on this one for her but I couldnt find a better fit so Oh Well. Dont have an evolution for her yet either. Oh Well 2x.... I don't even necessarily want to stick or like the fairytale theming for her I just couldnt find anything better. Ive been deeply stuck on her. Scrolling through wikipedia page after wikipedia page trying to find inspiration and failing miserably.... Help
Dominion is just basic ass angel persona as base for Eito. Righteous warrior. Not much else there lol.
Eve is the evolution for him at the end of R0, but his Rebellion evolution as well :] She's not meant to be the Evil Evolution at all (and snow white is not the Good one either) she is just a different road taken
Anyways. She's meant to be like... a very scorned take on Eve. Ate the fruit of wisdom and got cast down from Paradise for it, forever scorned as the original sin. Kind of meant to tie into Eito's view of his disorder as something that grants him vision of truth everyone else doesn't have but also got him forever branded as a bad evil child n things rolling from there
Snow White is exclusive to 2ndscen as evo. The veil covering her eyes to represent the whole 'blinding yourself for love' deal which he does uh. Rather literally. In general the wedding attire is meant to represent him very much wanting to be with the others now, the glass coffin she's sitting up from him being saved 'from death' (both literally and figuratively)
Two of these r bible figures and one a fairy tale figure but they're all meant to be connected in that they're all characters from the books he's read haha. Using them to justify himself as righteous in R0, throwing that front away to put up a very simple Princess Saved By Prince fairytale one instead for 2ndscen.
Both Eve and Snow White share the apple theme to represent his own views on his disorder, with Eve wielding it as a Weapon and Snow White having it spit up and discarded on the train of her dress as a bad poisoned thing. (There's a reason both of these are just the 1st evolution and not The Final Form. There's definitely quite a bit more internal peace w himself to be gained here I hope that much is clear)
I like to imagine both of them if evolved again would rejoin evolutions paths and evolve into the same thing where he can find some more peace with himself generally but. That'd require a lottt more time than the actual story takes place in so see it as a hypothetical future.
I do actually think Eito fits Death quite well (the one they assigned him in the actual tarot based merch) but this is the one I already had for him and I got quite fond of it so I refuse to change it lol... Otherwise for arcana thoughts I think he'd assign himself Justice but . I think the part that's most interesting about him is that he isn't actually as dead set on his righteous views as he claims. Both in GE and ME on complete opposite ends of the spectrum, in the end it's less about wanting to complete some set of values and more about wanting connection (postive OR negative) so lovers as representation of a want for a relationship felt fitting.
Lovers ALSO represents the first real choice encountered on the fools journey, the crossroads, and since killing or sparing him is the first choice Takumi gets to actually make that felt like a cute nod haha
Karua representing the star and Nozomi being the moon I'm SO attached to. Kako and Ima got those in the merch and I actually do like those picks but grrr fakeass Karua to represent the hope Takumi gets to chase after with Nozomi secrets n illusions fits soooo well narratively... Him ending up as Sun at the end of 2nd scen do u see the viison......
Otherwise I could see her fitting Temperance really well too I Just Like Moon. Repressed emotion, illusion, anxiety etc those all Go In The Nozomi. Plus she's the one human in the group and the moon as symbolism of the satellite/humanity is extra nice bonus symbolism
Secrets&illusions as in the secrets she symbolises in the meta narrative with who she compared to Karua is but also as in the actual literal secrets she's keeping from the group and illusions the way she knows what her mom did to her wasn't right but she refuses to see it as such
Shion Hanged Man Moko Strength Yugamu Devil r the only ones ive been set on otherwise. Kako I had as maybe priestess before but I like her as star too. Tsubasa also either priestess or hermit?? Thats where my thoughts on the rest of the cast end admittedly.
No persona thoughts for Takumi yet. Sorry Takumi. Probably some cool hero figure he'd want to be like. Who knows.
I want to make a DRV3 Daemon AU someday but I’m not very good at choosing forms myself. The only one I have so far is probably Ostrich for Kirumi; elegant and meticulous + also reminded me of ostrich feather dusters.
Anyway but I was thinking about Kiibo, who obviously wouldn’t have one but would probably feel really left out. But at some point probably towards the end Kiibo admits that he wishes he had a daemon of his own so he could understand human emotion, so Shuichi and the gang surprise him with like a small stuffed animal or something (there’s a ton of random shit around that place) to be his daemon. Shuichi doesn’t think he’d like it but Kiibo finds it the best thing ever and keeps it on his shoulder all the time.
Vultures may appear off-putting, but in fact are gentle and intelligent. White-headed vultures are somewhat aloof creatures, often at the fringes of any crowd, but they are not asocial - they simply prefer to have a few very close bonds. They have a somewhat strained relationship and don’t communicate very much; it gives them both terrible migraines to do so. Tomoyo is hard on Nozomi and also suffers as a result of her rejection symptoms, but only really wants what’s best for her. He is even more devoted to their mission.
