It was common knowledge to most who had encountered Mal, that he took what he wanted. Without hesitance, apology or question. Sure he sometimes could play nice, allow the chattel the illusion of being given a choice in the matter. Yet if they failed to come along, he had no problem using force. His eyes flashed with a cold darkness at her comment. “Indeed. Though you get to decide if thats who you want me to be in your story sweetheart.” While the words might be a tiny bit teasing, they were for sure plenty threatening too. Her taunting comment only received the smallest arch of an eyebrow from him. It was subtle of her, yet not going unnoticed.
“Oh I have, but I promised to keep my distance.” He calmly replied with a small shrug, falling in to step with her, glad that his house was only two blocks walk. They arrived there soon enough, and the angel opened the door, nodding for the dragon to step inside.
. . . .
Ji-Ae was not very threatening without her powers. Perhaps even with them, given that Mal was significantly older than she was. She could tell that much, just from his scent... But she would at least have a better ground to stand on. She destroyed so much in the city before they were able to reign her in. “Have you not already decided?” the dragon fired back, the words slipping so easily from her tongue. She was sure that he had.
Her brows furrowed for a moment. “Do you know me, then? Where you would need to promise to ... keep your distance?” Within moments they reached his home, and she peered past him into the home before looking back to his face. The dragon turned her back to him and stepped inside. “So? Have you decided?”
