i don’t know why but it’s important to me that like. the process of desmond sharing his ancestors’ memories was stressful and painful and not exactly a great time. but also. but also. now that he has them. now that they’re in him, in how he moves and thinks and the emotions that he shares with them across centuries. that there is nothing in the world that desmond would give them up for. it’d be asking him to remove parts of himself. you couldn’t pay desmond to go back to being alone in his own head.
