I know, Blake, I know— and I’ve grown fonder towards Max as well. But at least you can tell yourself that in spite of her attitude, a part of her loves you too. I mean, how could she not admire a man with your traits, with such pride. Even if we’re back to the very start, I’m grateful for your honesty. For once in my entire years at Lancaster, I could feel happinest at its finest meaning, greatest effects. Don’t ruin what you’ve built with Stella for me Blake, because as much as your mind seems to consider, I’m not worth it.
