I just want someone to kiss this goddess. She deserves kisses. Cheek kisses, forehead kisses, nose kisses, lip kisses.....

My favorite sad part about Makaria. Is that if your muse has died previously. She can see it, see how death still lurks around them, clings to them. She knows, without a single word being exchanged. And she knows how jarring it can be, to come back to life. She always feels concern for them, even if she doesn’t know them. Are they alright? Settling back into life okay?

plot wanted: reincarnation

based off of this song

I really want a plot where Makaria falls in love with a mortal. And she’s not too concerned, because she can be with them in the afterlife, after they pass from their mortal life. But a god (maybe Zeus?) catches wind of this and finds it unfair, a manipulation of her station as a goddess of death, that she should have more time with her mortal lover. So he finds a way to curse the mortal’s soul to be reincarnated, over and over. With no real memories of their past lives. And Makaria finds that soul in so many different bodies, over the years. And some, they love again. Some, it’s not meant to be. And some, the soul loves another already. But still, Makaria seeks out her lover’s soul, even though she knows it will hurt her, every time, to lose them when their current life ends and they start all over.

I love the dichotomy of Makaria. Like, she can be such a mother hen to people, wants to care for them. But she’s also a goddess of death and can be v scary. She doesn’t get intimidated, like. at all. And my favorite thing is when she interacts with muses that either A, haven’t been given a proper parental figure or love and affection. or B, expect everyone being scared of them and Maka’s just not phased.
