rinoa talk but it's wild how rinoa being unpopular / disliked with content of the original game and her role in it (i'd argue unfairly so bc it's a choice to compare her to the main cast who is mostly combat trained lmao)

but then side games exist where shes voice acted and her quirks that are japanese exclusive are on full display are there and she's v charming and cutesy...

so when ppl who haven't played ff8 or are just starting to are surprised that rinoa is disliked a bit, get surprised from that.. tbh it's funny as a almost lifelong stan of rinoa.

squall and rinoa did so much in canon and bonded so much that the thought of them ever having a date is funny

awkward funny.

perceive rinoa as a journalist. ( i know that's laguna's thing but it makes a lot of sense for her tbh ) ?

lowkey different routes to write rinoa based on her relationship (or lack of) w/ squall post game depending on other writers but also.. her and squall being the garden's next edea and cid? yes please.

grace isn't ... exactly looking for a relationship. her life involving constant moving around and a very (understandably) paranoid and cautious mother has led to grace not having many/if any meaningful relationships. if there is anything, it's likely exclusively online. even then, grace herself prefers to lurk and browse.

as getting grace alone seemed to be difficult for the big bad, grace is very big about not breaking routine. that's why i personally don't see her changing that in any way. even after the hotel incident, old habits and routines die hard.

sexuality wise, i think grace would be demisexual tbh.

honestly i think raine and julia's stories (what little we do see) make them interesting characters to wanna develop despite their minor roles in ff8. i've always wanted to write julia aha
