"Come on, the water's fine!" Kara yelled enthusiastically, getting herself into the water, splashing as she practically jumped around.
Meanwhile Ana had her arms crossed, standing far away from the water at the hottest place the sun was shining on her, but she did not seem to give the slightest care towards it.
Kara stopped in her jumping upon seeing that, completely stopping everything as the water was the only sound coming from anything, calming down after her rough splashing against it. As she stood there silently, waiting for any form of movement from Ana.
But seeing that she had been practically standing like some robot at attention, her cold demeanor never leaving her from their arrival here and getting here.
The entire sky Ana flew through to find this island, having exactly 13,172 km, had been filled with and heard only the constant, unstopping talking and rambling of Kara.
And knowing Ana, Kara kept the silence, not speaking, only the water below her making sound as she made herself out of the water with big steps. Ana's eyes never leaving her, her hands still held firmly against her chest.
Kara walked out of the water surprisingly calmly and normally, opposite to her normal way of acting and personality, before stopping in front of her while also ignoring the waves that kept hitting her feet.
"Hm?" Ana raised an eyebrow.
It was a change in Kara's behavior, yet she did not bring herself to ask, only waiting, knowing there were only two ways something would happen.
With how she was looking and the situation, Ana knew Kara enough for there to only be two possibilities. Either she would do some dramatic thrashing against the ground, or whine about her not being boring and starting to live life.
Hm.
What a pathetic excuse and choice of words. As if that would apply to her. It would be more the opposite.
It was Kara after all who did not participate in fighting and training, yet she wanted to be the one to educate her on what was and was not a boring life.
Since the day she had met Kara, she had not seemed to prove one ounce of blood, even of her Viltrumite blood, not to mention she was already only half of that blood.
Kara slowly reached out both of her hands, reaching for Ana's, even though they were still crossed against her chest.
So she instead slowly hovered her hands onto her arms. Though the placement of her hands was soft, Ana's bones and body were anything but soft. As expected from an emperor's daughter.
"Ana..." she began in a low murmuring voice.
Ana did not feel like responding, did not bother, because right as she thought that, Kara immediately continued before even taking another breath.
"I... wanna tell you something."
Now this grabbed her attention a bit more, enough for her to finally turn her attention fully to her, not really used to this sort of behavior from Kara.
Though the expression coming through her was really similar to whenever she would joke about something while using a dramatic tone, before acting the complete opposite or following it up with a joke.
Her shoulders and body language said otherwise. Her shoulders were slumped and her head lowered. Feeling her hands against her arms, Ana could feel the heartbeat through the contact of their forearms.
And Kara's heartbeat did not speed up.
It was normal.
At least for her.
When she finally glanced down at her slumped state, finally pushing out the question to not waste any more time on it, she calmly asked.
"What is troubling you this time..."
Kara gripped the arms where she placed her hands and in a quick motion bent her back and leaned backwards into a bridge position, letting go of Ana and sending her off balance and into the water with a harsh splash.
Ana got out of the water in a quick motion, yet stayed there for longer than expected, too occupied with what had just occurred.
Not because of the sudden strength, which she barely even felt, but because of the action itself. Her eyes had widened slightly under the water before she calmly resurfaced nonetheless.
Being greeted by loud giggles and a finger pointed at her as Kara held her stomach.
"Comedy gold. Don'tcha agree..."
Her words were cut off as a harsh splash hit her. Water slammed against her body hard enough that she needed to take a step back and hold onto the ground, even if only for a moment.
Yet Ana stood there motionless, her hand still held where she had made the movement.
Kara blinked.
Then a smile once again crawled onto her face and she began laughing.
Though Ana's face remained the same. Motionless.
Her eyes remained targeted on Kara, who began splashing at her, the loudness of the water growing harsher and harsher as she got closer and ran around her.
Before slowly.
Ana blinked, slightly lowering her head as Kara jumped around her. With each jumping step she circled her, splashing her before delivering one big harsh splash slightly larger than what Ana had done to her.
Her continuous laughter never died down.
When it stopped, Ana heard the slight ragged breathing of Kara as she placed both hands on her knees, taking a small breath while flexing her arms through the slight numbness.
Ana raised her head again.
The two made eye contact as Kara raised her head from her resting position.
"Please."
Ana then plunged one hand under the water.
Just as Kara let out a small "Hah?"
Ana sent a wave that could only be described as a miniature tsunami toward her.
Immediately Kara began screaming and screeching as she ran deeper into the water, not doing anything and letting her thoughts act immediately instead of thinking.
Like maybe flying.
The harsh wave hit her and plunged her deep into the sea. She harshly squeezed her eyes shut, scared to do anything that could somehow make her situation worse underwater. She had always hated the deep ends of the water.
So dark and...
"SEAWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!"
Her screams, bubbled and warped by the water around her, echoed as she flapped her feet trying to resurface. The moment something made contact and tickled her, she screamed even more, making the amount of oxygen she had even lower while flapping her hands upwards like a dog trying to swim.
"Finally. I'm surprised you didn't drown yourself immediately. Just as I am surprised by your logical thinking."
Her ears were ringing, but even with that she could hear the calm monotone. Even without seeing Ana's face, Kara felt her eye twitch.
"Sarcasm...?"
Ana surprisingly raised one eyebrow.
"Let your thoughts tell you."
She finally stepped away from her view and out of her face, laying on the carpet that had been placed on the now wet sand.
"And decide whether listening to them is worth it."
"Fuck... you. And also... we'll agree on a tie."
