             DAY 01: FAVORITE PORTRAYALS OF A CHARACTER IN YOUR FANDOM                            so you haven’t murdered anyone lately? let’s be best pals.        

 So writing Buffy has been one of the best experiences of my life, but it would be nothing without the amazing fandom i have to interact with and to geek tf out about btvs with. All of you have made my blog what it is and i can’t say how much I love you all. This positive call out post is for the buffyverse fandom, including ats.  First some quick shout outs. first of all to @faithiiisms. I’ve followed Char for the five years I have had Buffy and she has been a must have staple on all my dashes. And getting close to her this year is something i wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. She is an amazing faith, a wonderful writer, and the best coadmin i could ever ask for. The effort she puts into Faith is just, incomparable. The thought that goes into her, the headcanons, the everything just leaves me in awe on a daily basies.   and another quick shout out to my doppleganger @deathishergift. Like seriously, if you all like buffy, and i assume all of you do if you are in the btvs fandom or following a buffy blog, you need to follow her buffy. She does her such amazing justice and understands her so well. At times it leaves me intimidated but like in the best way. I spent a long time feeling very intimidated by duplicated but then I met Letty and realized not only what an amazing person she is, but an amazing Buffy. It is a truly wonderful experiences to interact with and become friends with someone when you love the same fictional character so much. She is THE buffy to have on the dash, and one of the sweetest people I know.  @hervisions / @intostone haley is such a wonderful human being and her muses are no different. Her Cordelia is beyond blindingly awesome and her Buffy is no different. It’s another instance that i am so glad that i overcame my hesitation of duplicates to meet amazing people and writers. And that is exactly what she is, such an amazing writer. She breathes life into her characters and i’m so excited for more Cordy and Buffy threads because YASS GIRL. But srsly, no dash is complete without Haley one last quick shoutout to @exwatcher and his many, many other blogs. Aron poo-ron and I spend a lot of time teasing each other, but it’s been so wonderful getting to know him. His Wesley is literally too amazing for words, but i’ll try anyways. He made me see Wesley in a new light, gave him so much depth, and puts such passion into his character. I can hear Wes so much in his writing, I read all the replies and Wes’ voice just echos in my head while I do it. And I quite enjoy giving Aron a good natured hard time on the daily, you fuckin’ pear.  okay, so there are so many of you that make this fandom so amazing. It has been over 20 years since btvs premiered and to see the fandom still so alive is not only a testament to this heart filled show, but to the people that keep it alive and continue to bring new depth to the characters.              DAY 01: FAVORITE PORTRAYALS OF A MINOR / UNDER APPRECIATED                                                                        CHARACTER        Okay so minor and under appreciated characters give me life. It may sound weird coming from someone that writes a character whose name is literally in the title of the canon material, but for real. The buffyverse is filled with these amazing, dynamic characters that are brought to life even more on my dash. The effort that goes into taking a character that might not have heaps of canon material or have little appreciation from either the canon or the fandom, is so immense and unmeasurable. The awe and respect I have for the muns that bring these characters to life with headcanons and writing is huge.        And this post is not just for those Buffy verse characters, but for all the minor / under appreciated characters that make my dash so fun, and that i look forward to reading every little snippet on.  @exwatcher / @gunnblazing depending if you are viewing from a btvs or ats perspective, Wesley can be viewed as a minor or major character. But either way, he deserves way more appreciation than he gets. Luckily Aron gives all the appreciation. I have ranted earlier about his amazing portrayal but i’m gonna rant a bit more. He gives Wes so much dimension and I hear Wes in his writing. But more than that, he gives Wes even more dynamic that he had in canon, and i get so excited to read anything he writes. and then for Gunn, he can be seen as a major character, but once again, so under appreciated. Aron made me realize how much I loved Gunn and is such a joy to the dash. Like it is so amazing to see Gunn on my dash, and even more amazing to see Aron’s writing of him that gives him life. @vacuoustramp faith deserves all the love for her Harmony and the effort she puts in. tbh before I use to just think of Harmony as a shallow and amusing character in the Buffy verse. But Faith made me think of her in a new light. and it’s because of all the different multiple sides that she brings to Harm. and she deserves all the recognition in the world for it.  @whowatches omg nick’s Giles is the Giles i have waited my lifetime for. Not only does all his writing scream Giles, but quite often I head a bit of giles in ooc talk too, which just makes me smile even more. hi, all! now, some of you might recall / remember my previous campaign, the kindness campaign, and while it will never stop ( aka i plan on keeping up with it still ) i felt it time to start a new wave of kindness! the name for this new instance of positivity comes from the one and only mother monster from when i saw her in concert december 1st, because she said something that will stay with me forever: “kindness cures all things.” to be honest, i couldn’t agree more. it’s hate and negativity that breeds further hate and negativity, so why should any of that be encouraged? thus, in order to counteract this nastiness that’s sadly so prevalent in the rpc, we’re gonna keep on showing love for one another!
