and this part might make some people's head explode but: characters can be written to forgive things you personally wouldn't ever forgive. not everything is written as what you'd perceive to be the right choice. not everything is a self-insert & protagonists don't have to be relatable.

1. Check that you have good access to shade trees, a shelter custom made to fit you and all your friends, and plenty of good airflow

2. Find the hottest, sunniest, and least windy part of you pasture and lay down

3. Make sure you look as much as possible like you have died of heatstroke

Random but I quite enjoy how in Super Mario RPG, the party members not only have weapons unique to themselves, but multiple types of weapons that function differently in their attacks

Mario for example has his fists/gloves, hammers and Koopa shells, and the standard attack animation and the timing is different for each type. But it also doesn’t go overboard with each weapon having a unique animation you have to memorize, so it’s not like you’ve wasted time learning the animations for the previous weapon either

I mean okay I don’t like it as much when I’m playing, but that’s just because I’m stupid and keep messing up the timing when I get a new weapon. Objectively I think it’s a cool idea and I feel like it’s implemented well with the balance of how many unique weapons you get. And even if you’re like me and suck at the timing initially, you have time to get used to the new attack pattern (plus you get a small indicator signaling when to time your inputs), and it’s not too punishing if you can’t get it down consistently

I kind of wish this weapon system could be incorporated into more games now, though that also relies on the battle system incorporating unique weapon attacks, which most games don’t. But still

#the only other game I know that does this is Earthbound #it's just one universal weapon for every party member (the yoyo)#it's not a different animation #but it trades accuracy for higher damage #and I think higher crit chance too?
