FUN STORY #2

So the reason I ended up being awake till almost midnight last night was because my economics midterm was today and we wanted to study. Very fun. But anyway, I get up and go to my internship this morning, and on my lunch break, I go to eat from my fave food truck Lemongrass, and then I preemptively reward myself with an ice cream from Coldstone. So then I go back to work and I get in the elevator, and this security guy is in there and, being friendly, he’s like, “How you’re day going?” I, realizing that it’s probably not normal to see random interns eating ice cream in the elevator, reply, “Oh, not to bad! *gestures to ice cream* I’m motivating myself for an exam tonight after work.”

We get to the guy’s floor and he just looks at me and smiles and says, “An exam after work? You’re going to need more than that.”

FUN STORY

So yesterday night I finally got up and walked down to the monuments because while you COULD go to the Lincoln Memorial during the day and be mobbed by crowds, you could INSTEAD go at night and see the pretty lights of the World War II Memorial and not feel sweaty and claustrophobic! And anyways, I’m walking down the reflecting pool, minding my own business, but behind me, there’s this family with their kids. And all of a sudden, the family’s tiny, tiny blonde daughter comes FLYING up, and as she passes me she says, in what I assume is her best Chris Evans impression, “On your left.”

Apparently Milwaukee has a lion?? Seriously I miss all the fun stuff.

Captain Cookie is the best idea someone ever had. (If I haven’t mentioned this yet: It’s a shop that only sells cookies, milk, and ice cream. So you can go in and order a milkshake or some warm cookies or an ice cream sandwich, BUT ALSO it delivers and is open until midnight.) Today I tried the Wookie cookie, which is the type of full-on all chocolate cookie I can’t normally eat because it’s too rich but these were the greatest things in the universe because they put ESPRESSO AND CHILLI POWDER INTO THE COOKIE TO GIVE IT A KICK AND WOW IT WAS AMAZING I COULD’VE EATEN TEN OF THEM

Fun fact: IHOP tastes best at 1AM, such as on the right, even though going during regular visiting hours you get more delicious options.
