BOYS WILL BE BOYS, STELLA WILL BE STELLA: STELLA DONNELLY MUSIC REVIEW
Stella Donnelly is a very special type of singer/song writer. Not only is she incredibly talented but she writes these gorgeous poetic pieces about things that some solo artists as new as her, don't want to bring up.
She has recently released her first EP titled "Thrush Metal" to critical acclaim. Her lyrics are brutally honest, combined with this raw vocal range with jazz - folk sensibilities. Honestly, listening to her makes me feel as though I've truly gotten to know her, her heart and soul.
Her Instrumentals are soothing, melodic and dreamy. It's almost like a lullaby. Her voice is light, sweet and peaceful yet filled with this raw strength, rage and passion.
I love this artist so much, especially her newest song "Boys will be Boys". Not only does it tackle the important issue of victim blaming, she does it with this pained beauty.
She has this incredible range of delivery. In the beginning she sings so calmly and reasoned, however as the song progresses you can hear this sad frustration in her voice.
When I first heard it, I was driving home. I was violently hit with all these overwhelming emotions that I had to pull over and cry. I love when songs do that to me - there's not many of them out there that can do that to me.
When it comes to Aussie Artists, this young woman from Perth takes the cake.
It's beautiful, striking, poetic, and important. It doesn't shy away from its darkness, it's brutal, unflinching and just, absolutely everything to me.
Stella is currently on a headline tour Titled "Boys Will be Boys Tour" the dates and further information are on the last image!
I'm sorry for my loooong absence guys!! But hey, guess who has content for once? Ya gurrrl

Amy Zaghini, Twisted Whisker, KC and the Midnight Band and the Koffin Rockers
First Friday Locals Nite @The Office (Live Performance Review)
First Friday Locals Nite at The Office review Friday Night, Townsville’s newest bar ‘The Office’ held their first ‘Friday Locals Nite’ where artists Amy Zaghini, Twisted Whisker, KC and the Moonlight band and The Koffin Rockers played original tunes to a chilled out crowd.
Amy Zaghini kicked off the night at 8:30 playing songs about love and break ups. Her songs give off a Christina Perri type vibe. They’re honest, catchy and are fun to listen to. Her voice is soft and warm, like sheets fresh from the dryer after your mother lovingly washed them. She seems to be comfortable on the stage and is able to laugh at herself when she makes a mistake. She attempted to talk with the crowd, however they weren’t yet ready to participate. She’s incredibly down to earth and genuinely enjoys her songs. Especially when she sang “secret” a love song about her husband. You could hear her smiling as she sang and it was innocent and pure and new.
Next on the line-up was Twisted Whisker. We went from an incredibly relaxed atmosphere to be violently thrown into this whole new realm of energy. The duo were loud and oozed confidence and it’s like the crowd were jolted awake with this desire to clap along.
They reminded me a lot of Mumford and Sons. When they sang it was like it travelled from my ears through to my soul and I felt a satisfaction in a voice that I haven’t heard in a while. They had the benefit of a warmed up audience as they interacted with one another. I even found myself singing along to their song “Bring out your dead”. They’re not a band I’d usually listen to, but I’m certainly glad I got to experience them. Maybe I’ll check out their Youtube channel.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to catch the rest of the acts, however I am sure they rocked the house. If you’re ever looking for a great place to catch up with mates and have a drink, or a first date take them to The Office for their live music nights. From what I got to listen to Friday night, they can only get more awesome each time! Definitely make The Office your new “must go to” bar, because they rock. Come for the booze, stay for the tunes.
Reblog if you follow back.

Liquid Pastels: Neal Grundy’s “Serenity Series”
While most photographers often enjoy honing their mastery among classic genres, some just love to go experimental. British photographer Neal Grundy toys around Pantone’s Colors of the Year “Rose Quartz” and “Serenity Blue” in paint and ink as he marries them into hypnotic and ethereal images.

Recently, Triple J listeners have been pretty sour over Triple J pouring Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ over the airwaves.
Triple J’s hosts like Zan Rowe have defended the choice to play Queen B as well as ex radio personality Lindsay ‘the doctor’ McDougall.
What do you think? Should Triple J listeners just shut up and drink their Lemonade or is this just too sour to drink?
Sammi Constantine: A voice like an Angel
I feel as though I’m late to the party with this “discovery” but none the less, I'm glad I checked her out!
A few days ago on Instagram a woman called Sammi Constantine followed me, I clicked on her to follow back and I noticed that her bio said she was a singer/song writer so I thought to check her stuff out.
Ive been putting it off, but I thought Id check her out today - maybe I could make a blog post about it (like I am now). I just now tippy tapped her name into the YouTube search bar and came across her song titled “Small”.
I feel as though I have come across a new treasure.
Her voice is so angelic and suits her genre, her songs sound like generic pop songs but there's something that makes them different that I cant yet put my finger on.
I suggest to everyone whose looking for new artists to listen to or not; to check her out. She’s actually just now producing a new single called “The Game” and now that I’ve listened to her - I am so excited for it.
Ill link “Small” and also the song I'm listening to now titled “Call you mine”

LMFAO.
i like to imagine that clark kent’s search history is mostly normal but then there’s stuff like “improved superman costume concept art” because he wanted ideas
#what would you even do as an artist #if one day superman is just wearing a costume that is clearly your design #like superman was clearly looking at your deviantart #there is a chance that superman saw that art you drew of him kissing batman #why is he wearing the costume you designed #is he trying to send a message #is he saying that he really does smooch batman #did superman see your kryptosona #how much does he know
someone said they wanted to be able to reblog this with my horrible tags
no but like… do you sue him for using your designs? Do you politely ask him to stop using your designs? Do you ask him for license fees when the Superman merchandise adopts your design as well?
i am absolutely sure that he would find one with an artist’s comment/description that included “hey superman if you’re reading this feel free to use this anytime ok ;3″ and he would say “oh man that’s so thoughtful, thank you weedhorse69, I think I will” and like how do you explain in court that you, weedhorse69, did not intend for your statement to be any kind of contractual offer because you did not think he would ever find your public internet post with his name all over it
#people are reblogging the version of this without my final addition#offended that i would suggest clark kent wouldn’t credit the artist#missing what i consider to be the obvious facts of the matter#it’s probably a costume designed out of pure thirst too like#weedhorse69 is gonna keep his mouth shut because this way he gets to watch superman#running around town in a costume that really shows off his biceps and abs#he thought it looked summery#the league holds an intervention asking him to please stop wearing it#he does not stop no one can stop him#batman v superman II: clark please put on a real shirt
tumblr is garbage and likes to resize everything and readmores don’t work on mobile anyway so you all will just have to click through if you want to read weedhorse69′s chatlog screenshots
I dont care that this doesnt go with my blog. This is too great to not reblog
