what do you mean she was a traitor sent from an enemy country to infiltrate his country and kill them and she was supposed to kill him but she couldn't bring herself to, and he knew that she was a traitor but he waited a whole month to tell anyone about his suspicions because he couldn't bring himself to believe it? what do you mean she knew that he was going to lure her into a trap and capture her but she went along with his plan because she wanted him to see her as a good person? what do you mean that the whole time on the staircase, she was only looking at him? what do you mean "since when did you start looking at me that way, armin"? what do you mean she did get captured and she crystallised herself and he felt so insanely guilt? what do you mean for the next four years he visited her in her crystal just so that he could see her and she wouldn't feel lonely and she missed her? what do you mean literally during the end of the world, his first thought was of her finally being released from the crystal? what do you mean that they finally met again? what do you mean "you do have a plan, right, armin? you had one for me." what do you mean they confessed to each other during the end of the world on the boat? what do you mean they made love on that boat at night? what do you mean that she just wanted to spend her last 2 years in life in peace with him? what do you mean that he said goodbye to her with the saddest look on his face, but she couldn't even say goodbye to him because she didn't want to leave him, knowing that they'd probably never see each other again? what do you mean his friends asked if he was okay with her leaving, and he said "i am… i want annie to stay annie." what do you mean later on the boat, she regretted not going on the flying boat just to be with him one last time? what do you mean his last thought before he was going to die would've been her? what do you mean she came back to the battlefield after saying "i can't fight anymore" just to save him? what do you mean that when the battle was over, and a gun was pointed to her, he put himself in front of her to protect her? what do you mean they ended up together, after eight traumatic years? they knew each other since they were 12-13 and then finally after seven years they reunited. i love them so so so much.

Tamasha, a truly overlooked Bollywood masterpiece, whenever I recall this film, there's a specific song that never fails to send shivers down my spine "Agar tum saath ho". It’s a song for everyone- the ones who believe in love, the ones who don’t and the ones who are trying. For even the ones who have won in love knows what it is to lose. The song narrates the timeless struggle between the heart and the mind. Tara, dressed in deep red tones, driven by her heart. Ved, in lighter beige attire, is driven by his brain.

In this moment, Tara tightly hugs Ved, as if pleading silently for him to stay. The way in which she holds him carries an emotional weight adding a layer of emotion and urgency to the scene, suggesting that words may not be enough to convey what she feels, and her actions speak volumes in seeking his presence. She's scared to lose him, and she feels like the relationship is ending. Thus, holding on to him as tight as possible.

But Ved reluctantly pushes her away releasing himself from the hug. We can see the tears in his eyes. He seems to be struggling with inner conflicts, caught between what he wants and what makes sense.

In a quiet moment, Tara and Ved rest their heads on the table. Gently stroking his head, as if trying to nudge his brain to fall in love with her. "Agar tum saath ho". But the brain is stubborn and determined, it is not ready to listen. It is practical. Ved looks away while they rest their heads on the table, he's hiding tears and feeling exposed and vulnerable. *Ved leaves*, "Bedard thi zindagi, bedard hai". Life was merciless, it is merciless, even if he stays with her. It does not make a difference.

"Mujhe lagta hai ki baatein dil ki, hoti lafzon ki dhokhebaazi". It's like realizing that sometimes words aren't enough to express the depth of what your heart truly wants, what you truly feel for each other. Love is a relationship in which one converses through shared silences, we see that here once again in the deep silence of Tara and Ved.🌻🌙

I feel like it would be so interesting if Ozai wasn’t always a despicable, awful human. I like the idea that when he was younger he married for love, and sure, maybe he wasn’t always the best father, but he cared for his family. It was after he started getting ambitious and playing the political game that things got poisonous.

Edit: Yes, I know what happens in The Search, and I think it’s a painfully clumsy backstory. I reject their reality and substitute my own.

Young Lovers

Turtleduck and Fire Lily Ursa had her head resting on Ozai’s shoulder, their hands clasped one another. They enjoyed each other’s company, gazing at the night’s sky.

I’ve always believed that unmarried men and women in the Fire Nation had always had the tradition of wearing all of their hair bound up/ or bound in some other fashion.For Ursa, her clothes and hair are heavily Korean influenced (simply put it’s Korean XD) and for Ozai, his is more from the Song Dynasty (Hair from Ming Dynasty).
