Thankfully, with the Rafah crossing reopening for limited travel as of February 2, 2026, I see a glimmer of hope. I hold a university degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Al-Aqsa University in Gaza, but there are no job opportunities here amidst the rubble. I am holding my certificate in the picture in front of our destroyed home as a symbol of my determination to build a better future.

Maha’s husband is stranded in Egypt after accompanying his father for medical treatment. His expenses prevent him from being any help to his wife and children. You are their only hope.
