Recently finished my parent’s bathroom renovation. They live in a renovated barn from the early 1800′s and the bathroom on the first floor was not very functional. The shower leaked into the basement and the jacuzzi tub did not work. The space was very dark and the materials were outdated. We added a window to add natural light to the space. The white tiles and drywall brightened up the space, and the crackle style on the subway tiles blended nicely with the farmhouse essence of the house. Tiles made to look like wood was used on the floor, with a heated floor system. A dry sink and claw foot tub add a nice touch to the space as well. The bathroom is now more functional for visiting family and friends.
