I like that we who speak English regularly have started leaving the ‘good’ off of ‘good morning’ because now we greet each other with the statement that yes, indeed, it is morning.

In German we usually also leave the ‘Guten’ off in ‘Guten Morgen’.

In Poland it’s ‘Dzień dobry!’ (dzień – day, dobry – good) and we leave ‘dzień’ off. So it’s like in English you would say ‘Good!’ as a greeting.
