Hello! I'm Mackenzie, I am a small batch potter who works out of my home.
Life is funny
If you told 5-years-ago-me that I would finally escape healthcare and be selling ceramic earthworms on the internet..
I would have been like HELL YEAH
I started pottery 5 years ago this month! This is the day my wheel was delivered, followed by a progression of my home studio set up.
We have been slumbering during the cold months, but summer approaches, the frogs are singing, and a new issue of Croak has come hopping out of the pond!
Read some incredible frog literature and bask in lovely frog art, all available for FREE over at croaklit.com!
Special thanks to Mackenzie Graham who made the sculpture on our cover. If you print out the printable version, you'll see the back of the sculpture of the back cover! It's a cool effect, go check it out!!
Here's a direct link to the issue!
my frog! So cool!
I made a ton of ceramic earth worms and this was the most pleasing way to arrange them.

I am experiencing an earthworm hyperfixation, don't send help
I made this roly poly from stoneware clay and soldered copper tubing. I'm SO PUMPED at how it turned out.
This is very much a prototype, took me about 20 hours. I had so much fun learning to solder too! I'll probably make more, but not for awhile.
snail spoonrest
oh hey 1,100+ likers and 400+ rebloggers...
If I got my sh*t together and put up a pre-order for snail spoon rests, would people be interested in such a thing? I'd put it up on my website.
This glaze has been discontinued 😭 but I am going to do some testing for a similar pallette. I can present some color options about 2 weeks from now, and more specifics on dimensions.
dont talk to me or my son or my sons son or my sons sons son ever again
low key kind of have hated this trend on Instagram, but I couldn't resist making a funny one vs. all the trauma dumps I have encountered.
this isnt to say people shouldn't share their trauma, or am I shaming them- it had my heart feeling very heavy. I am empathetic to the fact that life is incredibly difficult and people suffer great losses. Took a several days of a break from IG reels and binged Stardew Valley to feel better.

This took forever but it's probably my favorite one i've made since I started making these 2.5 years ago.
a star is born
it's so funny to log into Tumblr after ignoring it for weeks and to have 100+ notifications that someone randomly reblogged a post of something you made forever ago.
Anyways, here is a roly poly I am working on.
I am beyond thrilled with these friends I made.
I had so much fun at a workshop where we got to do a feather/horsehair firing, obvara firing, and smoke firing. Saggar vessel not yet picked up but curious what it will look like!
Some sold work from vending last month that I didn't have time to document!
The last two I only have photos before glaze firing lol
I'll have to post the rest of the sculptures and wares soon! :-)
I finally fired this thing. As always some things I want to improve upon, but there were so many "firsts" with it that I just cant complain.
Also, if you have advice for how to.... ahem, ELEVATE this piece, I am wondering if anyone has tips.
I dont get excited about test tiles very often but I WILL be excited about this one
