English wasn’t my first language, but when I heard Teardrops on My Guitar for the first time 11 years ago, I feel in love with everything about Taylor, from her music to her lyrics, to her style, and her sense of kindness of the world. I moved from Coast to Coast and back, always missing Taylor on tour because of that, so I vowed to myself I’d never go to a concert unless it was Taylor’s, and that’s what I did. I wanted, turned down all the other opportunities I’ve gotten to go to other concerts, and finally went to my first concert, my first Taylor Swift concert in Santa Clara, California on August 15th, 2015.
