Though it hadn't actually been all that long they'd been living together, Artie had come to recognize the excitement in Quinn's voice and the difference between 'five dollars off groceries' coupon announcement and 'this is major' announcement. No sooner did she appear suddenly in the living room, with the widest grin Artie had ever seen on her face, than she had him on the hook now. "Aaaand?" Her look did kind of give it away but it was a total rush to have his best friend announce that he'd gotten the lead role on her show. "You're kidding! Oh my god!" She joined him on the couch and Artie wrapped his arms around her with a huge hug! "I can't believe it, you mean we're going to be working together?!?" This was by far his biggest break since making the move to Los Angeles, and knowing that they'd be able to share in the success now was even better news! "No way, not you!" He gave Quinn a teasing wink, then added "There's nobody else I'd rather have heard the news from, you know. This is just... wow. I'm speechless here." His own grin covered his face too, he was practically shaking in his excitement now. "Yeah but you're unbelievably biased, Q. I still can't believe it... is this really happening?"
Quinn laughed, the sound bright and full, her grin widening when he hugged her. For once, she didn’t even try to play it cool; she wrapped her arms around him just as tightly, her own excitement catching fire from his. "I’m not kidding, I swear!" she managed, laughing into his shoulder. "You’re officially a TV lead, Artie Abrams. I told you I could spot talent a mile away." Pulling back, she gave him a playful look, the kind that had always carried a spark of challenge. "And yes, we’re going to be working together. Try not to outshine me too much, okay? My fragile ego can’t handle it." But then her expression softened, the teasing giving way to something more genuine as she leaned back against the couch. “I’m really proud of you,” she said, her voice quieter now but steady. “You’ve worked your ass off for this, and you deserve every bit of it. And yeah,” she added with a small, incredulous laugh, dainty hand reaching over to squeeze his, "it’s really happening." Quinn's eyes met his vibrant pools of blue softly. "So, how do you want to celebrate? Take-out, dinner somewhere fancy? You name it and we'll do it. My treat."
