I am alive, I will be on this account some point during the week. I am sorry to those I owe replies on. If anyone wants to message me in the meantime, feel free to pop over to my other blog
Panicked fingers clawed one last time at the door knob on the office’s door in his desperate attempt to get the thing open and disappear inside. In the back of his head, he knew it was well past the time that Figgens would have left and his secretary was probably either on her way out or off scarfing down coffee or whatever. But it didn’t matter. He was holding out hope that one thing about today would go right and he’d be able to avoid the girl he caught from the corners of his eyes running after him. “Please open, please open,” he mumbled and rolled red streaked eyes at the ceiling before giving up and hitting the door with the palm of his hand hard. Bowing forward, he pressed his forehead against the door and shut his eyes as his heart slammed hard inside chest. Quinn had to be close by. He had to get it together. Fast. Sniffling back tears, he used the back bend of his wrist to rub at the hollows of his eyes. No way was he going to let her catch him crying. But this was just so embarrassing that it was actually physically painful to the point it hurt to breathe. Kurt stood straighter, letting his fist fall from the door and hang limp at his side as he heart the sloppy wet sounds of her shoes squeaking before Quinn took the corner and called out his name. Last name first, he caught that. Don’t think he didn’t for a second think that she was still so high above his place on the social ladder that he actually meant anything to her. They had one thing in common. The glee club. That was all. He was this and she was everything every girl in that choir room wished they were. Hell, so did he. And nothing any of them, or maybe just him, would ever be in this school One day, he’d like to think he would but.. Tell that to the kid who just climbed out of a dumpster after waiting in there long enough to make sure the gorillas that threw him in there were gone before he climbed back out. He didn’t have the cheeriest outlook for his future popularity. Ever. Especially with the faint odor of lunch left overs and pencil shavings coming from his hair. Why’d she follow me here then? Tossing his head back, he made sure to flatten his features enough that there was no weak burrowing of his eyebrows, or crinkled nose. Nothing but heat in his eye sockets or spread over his cheeks and forehead that he was choosing to ignore would hit that he was so upset, tired and just done with feeling the way he felt. He tried to channel the anger he had when he stared at the faces of the sneering boys who made his life hell on a daily basis and who owed him a three hundred dollar bag that’d been bought for a steal off Ebay for a less than a third of the price and turned into an emptied out, torn worthless mess. Staring down the corridor at Quinn, though? It was hard to hold onto. He tried, his teeth even bared long enough for him to hiss out a few words, “I did have an umbrella,” but it didn’t last. Kurt looked down guiltily because she’d done nothing to deserve it other than being on a plane of existence that made her untouchable. “I’m sure it’s in another dumpster somewhere. Or in the woods. Or wherever else they took that, phone and car keys. My Dad is going to be so mad if I don’t find them..and he’ll come here and there’s going to be a scene that I’d rather avoid. I’m not good at lying to him. He’ll see right through me.” Kurt was stuck here until he found them. Or Burt would be at the school and his life would just be worse in the long run for it. Today sucked. Period.
Quinn had never witnessed the fallout from bullying. Sure, she had seen the jocks throw whatever frail junior over their shoulders till they met their end with a mighty thump in the nearest dumpster, which was exactly what had happened to Kurt. She watched, what seemed to be the hundredth frozen liquid, slapping a completely innocent student in the face. The money being stolen, books being torn apart. All of these daily torture routines Quinn watched with boredom. At one point she felt pity but it came to the point she no longer had the strength to care about the popular crowd’s need to dominate using fear. The Head Cheerio had been in the area of all of these things because the idiot neanderthals believed humiliating others would win her trust or affections. It did neither and it never would. She despised bullying. So many times she had to collar Finn for being a sheep and following the others. The one time he threw Kurt into a dumpster before the whole glee club mess, Quinn told him the night before to lay off the losers and if he was so desperate to prove his manlihood, then he had to show some compassion for once...he had no idea what she meant by that and then whined about being unable to make out. He actually thought that offering to hold Kurt’s jacket before he met his trash bed was showing compassion. Safe to say, he didn’t receive any kisses that night either. Of course, Quinn would never admit to any of this. Not even seeing Kurt in such distress would have her admitting it either.
His eyes looked as if they burned, red blotched skin around his t-zone. It didn’t matter what you tried to do to hide that swelling, it stayed until you placed a cold rag over the skin. Quinn remembered the days she tried fanning her face before walking into her home after a day of the usual Lucy Caboosey taunts and hair pulling. Her parents knew of the daily name calling and physical abuse she endured by her classmates, but their only answer was to bow to Quinn’s wishes of having a nose job and to burn off every single extra pound before they upped and moved to Lima. She was thankful for her parents consent. Every single day she ran a finger over the bridge of her perfected nose, feeling that hard shell underneath, no bumps, no ridges. Perfection. She would then stare at her perfect abs, pinch at her hips to make sure that a small amount of flesh was between her fingertips before moving on to the thighs. Quinn was proud of her accomplishments and it was the hardship of bullying that got her there in the first place. Was it sadistic of her to use ‘Lucy’s’ torment for her drive to work harder? Probably.
Kurt however...he didn’t have any faults, not that Quinn could see. His fashion was indeed ‘out there’ compared to others in town but was it necessarily a bad thing? Quinn spent many days eyeing a certain jacket, accesories and bags. She did have a moment of debate once while watching him and Mercedes laugh like hyenas in class once and gasping over the newest Vogue magazine he had slipped in the middle of his textbook. She debated asking Kurt to take her shopping, it was insane, she knew that but when she watched those two and glanced back at Santana and Brittany, it hurt when the realization kicked in that she actually had no friends at all. “The jocks are morons, Kurt. Your things will probably be left somewhere typical like a trash can or the dirty laundry.” Quinn sighed and reached up to brush away the pencil shavings perched on his shoulder. They had a lot in common in Quinn’s eyes. Trapped in a town where people on cared about the outside and not personality. Struggling to get by when they had the ability to speed right out of this town and on top and harsh pasts of relentless and unneeded bullying. It was all Quinn was clinging to right now so she didn’t leave the boy suffering. “How about you go shower and I’ll try to find your things. If your father sees you and smells you like this, he will know what happened here...and I’m assuming you dont want that, right?”

Rachel nodded, understanding of how Quinn had felt back then. She hadn’t been full of love for Quinn either, she was no angel back then and had done her share of awful things. She was just glad it was over. That they were friends. And close ones too. She squeezed Quinn’s hand lightly, letting her know it was ok. She wasn’t mad. Hadn’t been for a long time now. A gasp made her way out, even when she tried not to react to Quinn’s words. Maybe she didn’t mean what Rachel thought she meant. Maybe the wording had been unfortunate. It was a confusion. “Hm, w-what do you mean you can’t imagine coming out to yourself out loud?” she repeated, hoping Quinn didn’t retreat back into herself. Her eyes found Quinn’s, trying to let her know she wouldn’t judge whatever she had meant to say. She was there for her and she wasn’t leaving any time soon.
“Wh-what?” Quinn felt her throat begin to tighten and cheeks burn more than they did before. Where had all her years of social etiquette gone? The ability to form words, to even breathe, had gone. This was her chance, her opportunity. She wouldn’t have this moment again, not with Rachel anyway. The opening was right before her, all the blonde had to do was say the words. “I-I mean,...” she stammered again. Each time her mouth opened, a image of her father would flash in her vision, preaching about God and burning hell fire. ‘Come on, Q. He isn’t in your life anymore. Do this, now!’ That gentle squeeze was soothing but Quinn worried that her sweating palms might disgust the brunette so she tugged it free and clenched the fingers before rubbing it against her thigh. “...what I’m trying to say is...” another deep breath before whispering out “I’m...I’m gay”
/I feel terrible for neglecting Quinn so much lately. I blamed coming down with a sickness at first but now it's just being lazy and I am so sorry for it. Tomorrow will be her day to make replies. I

Peter looked away for a second, his new job wasn’t affecting his personality was it? He was finally making money that could help May and Ben out. And he was a tv star—well sort of. ❝I mean, yeah but…what if you really need the job?❞ Blinking a few times at her subject change, leaning back in his chair and giving a bit of a shrug. ❝Not really. There hasn’t been a need to since there hasn’t been a game yet. And the school isn’t paying me so…❞
Quinn wondered if Pete actually enjoyed taking pictures of the games. The school football team was a complete joke and it wasn’t big headed of her to assume many only attended to watch the Cheerios. They were the most entertaining aspect. “I’d be thankful for that. Nothing but a bunch of out of shape jocks getting their asses handed to them every single time. It’s hardly the shot a photographer dreams of.” She tapped her pencil against her chin in thought before moving on with another question. “So what do you take pictures of in the mean time?”

Her brow furrowed and she looked up to Quinn. She was fairly sure she knew her friend by then, even if she was still mysterious when she wanted to. Rachel liked to think she was the one who knew her best. But she didn’t know what Quinn meant with that. Surely the head cheerleader would have tortured her for liking girls because of some religious reason. Or apparently not. “What do you mean?” she couldn’t help but ask, curious yet fearful. “I always thought it was part of the reason, though a reason my annoying personality eclipsed and made meaningless,” she admitted. She didn’t like to admit she had been annoying. But she had, sometimes. They had all grown up, her included. Her hand moved on its own accord and landed over one of Quinn’s. It seemed appropriate considering how emotional and intimate the conversation was turning. “Well, I just assumed you hated me. Because I wasn’t afraid to be myself,” she clarified. At least she had reached that conclusion after a while. Her dads had always told her that the people who bullied her were just jealous and since Quinn had nothing to be jealous of, she was prettier and had way better grades, Rachel just assumed she wished to be as free as Rachel. To be able to be herself without fear. She might have been wrong.
A shuddered intake of breath happened when Quinn felt Rachel’s smooth palm grace her hand. How she wanted to turn it over and entwine their fingers, such a simple move but to Quinn it was difficult so she left it flat against her thigh. Shaking her head softly to Rachel’s assumptions. “I never hated you. Yes, you did irritate me and it was because I was envious of how you were.” She had to lower her sight, stare at the fabric of her clothing, look at their hands together. Anything to distract herself from the growing sickness in her stomach, no, not sickness. Excite, eagerness to pool everything out for once. She had the opportunity to stop this game of hiding and just be honest but Quinn Fabray was Quinn Fabray and still had that nagging worry in the back of her mind. “You were this confident little ball of energy and you still managed outshine everyone, no matter what they did to you...and here you are, years later still oozing that same confidence and being able to just admit you like the same sex with no fear and I can’t even imagine coming out to myself out loud.” Quinn’s mind was too busy searching through her memories of Rachel overcoming her battles and comparing them to her own to even acknowledge that she slightly came out to Rachel.
