So, the new gimbal is awesome. The only downside is that, unlike the Ronin-S, the S2 doesn’t allow for powering the camera from the gimbal. Not a problem with any other camera, but the BMPCC 6k can eat through a standard battery in about 20 minutes, so being able to power it from the gimbal was awesome. To remedy this, I ordered a battery plate to attach to my Tilta cage, thinking the power cable I was already using when not using the gimbal would naturally fit as Tilta made both the plate and the battery grip I have. Nope. So, it’ll be a while before the 6k sees any extensive use on the new gimbal. But, the 1DX MKII works fine on it. Had to order a Tilta battery plate for my #bmpcc6k so I can use my Sony batteries. Sadly, you can’t power a #bmpcc6k from the Ronin S2 like you can the Ronin S. So, I’m playing with my 1DX MKII for now. #gimble #ronins2 #canon1dxmarkii https://www.instagram.com/p/CGsOUC2BqMz/?igshid=gh2r2sn8szn8
