I saw this nice questionnaire and figured I’d fill it out for fun! Let’s get started!
1. Who were your first uchigatana and tantou?
Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki and Sayo Samonji.
2. Which starter sword was your second or third choice?
Kasen was my second choice. Not sure about my third. Maybe Kashuu?
3. What’s your dream team?
I don’t really have one. I’m pretty happy with what teams I have at the moment.
4. What’s your saniwa anniversary? How long have you been playing?
May 14th, 2015. So I’ve been playing for 549 days. That’s a lot!
5. Would you spend money on Touken Ranbu? Have you already?
I probably would if I had a credit card, but alas I only have debit. Fortunately I did get that free 500 points with the help of a friend, so I’m alright for now when it comes to space.
6. What username did you pick for the game?
Rosile. I usually use either that or Bloodynewmoon as a username.
7. What’s your favorite map if you have one?
Any map that’s good for grinding is more-or-less my favorite, lol.
8. Who was your first rarity 3 sword?
Believe it or not, it was Iwatooshi! Meanwhile my first rarity 4 sword was Tsurumaru.
9. Who’s your favorite sword?
I need to break this down by type.
Tantou: Imanotsurugi (Akita was my initial favorite, but the kiwame letters wound up tipping the scale.)
Wakizashi: Horikawa Kunihiro
Uchigatana: Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki
Tachi: Kogitsunemaru (This is hard category to pick from but I have to give it to foxy grandpa, lol.)
Ootachi: Hotarumaru
Yari: Nihongou
Naginata: Obviously Iwatooshi, but we sure could use another!
10. Favorite clan?
Aw, that’s tough. Probably the Samonji brothers since I want them to be happy more than anything.
11. Who’s your least favorite sword?
Nikkari Aoe. I just don’t like this design. Thankfully the anime makes him look less of a smug bastard, so I’ve come to like him a bit more.
12. Which troops do you try to smith the most?
Gold Heavy Infantry. Gotta keep those tantous alive somehow!
13. Do you play the pocket or desktop version most often?
Desktop.

61/74. I’m missing some kiwames, recent event swords (I’ve been having super bad luck the past 6 months. Not a single sword since Shinano! OTL), whatever is in world 7, and Higekiri’s Toku San form.
15. Are you watching the Touken Ranbu anime?
Yes, and I love it! ♥
16. Which sword is most like you?
Hm... not sure. Maybe Honebami. He’s pretty quiet and gentle.
17. Who’s your secretary sword?
Yoshiyuki by default, Hakata for events.
18. What do your teams look like?
Team 1 (The Lvl. 99 Team): Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Taroutachi, Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, Tsurumaru Kuninaga, Iwatooshi, Hotarumaru
Team 2 (The Night Team): Horikawa Kunihiro, Akita Toushirou, Aizen Kunitoshi, Sayo Samonji, Midare Toushirou, Imanotsurugi
Team 3 (The Grind Team): Gokotai, Higekiri, Hizamaru, Ishikirimaru, Kasen Kanesada, Ookurikara

19. What level is your highest leveled sword at?
I hit lvl. 99 a looong time ago with Iwatooshi.
20. If you could change one thing about Touken Ranbu, what would it be?
Add a friend system, specifically the ability to gift/trade swords. I have spares of rare swords I’d gladly give away to someone if I could. It could even be restricted by having the sword be at lvl. 1 with no equips when transferred, and you could only do it with one friend once every few days. Or make it an item!
21. What background are you using in your citadel right now?
The rainy day one. Most likely will change to a winter one when the weather gets there.
22. Do you use all your help tokens or do you hoard them?
I have 354 help tokens right now, lol. I usually use them for events or new maps.
23. Do you have any kiwame swords? If not, which ones would you like to get to kiwame status?
All tantous on my second team are kiwames. I would like to get Gokotai’s next since his has the best design.
24. Was there a particular sword that got you interested in Touken Ranbu?
Gaiaonline made an item based on Kashuu, and my curiosity led me from there.
25. How many of your swords have gone into awakening mode? Which was the first?
Um... at least a dozen? That’s counting my first two teams along with Higekiri and Hizamaru. Don’t recall who was first to awaken.
26. If Touken Ranbu got an english version, but you’d loose all of your progress until now, would you still use it? (Would always know what your swords were saying, what Konnosuke is saying, be able to know where everything is without the wiki, etc.)
Hell no. I’m happy with just using the wiki.
27. Do you have a favorite type of campaign or event?
My favorite event has to be the Regiment Battles. Being able to fight with up to four teams at once was so cool! Underground Treasure Chests are also nice since they’re simple, easy, and you get a lot of koban out of it. Plus the new sword is always guaranteed, unlike other events where it’s pure luck. Village of Treasures was the worst in how often it screwed you over with just one card flip. I’m also getting tired of the War Training Expansions since they’re not only happening too often for my liking, but I haven’t gotten any of the swords from them with the exception of Nihongou.
28. How do you feel about the most recent new swords?
If I actually had them I could tell you. T_T But really they seem cool. Wish we could get another Ootachi or Naginata though...
29. Would you recommend Touken Ranbu to a friend?
Well I did a panel for it at AnimeNext and got at least one friend to play. So of course!
30. If you could make your own sword and have it put in the game, what would they act/look like? What would their ‘Thing’ be? (Aka the Thing they mention every other line)
They’re gonna do this eventually because it’s so popular, but I would like to see Kusanagi no Tsurugi as a sword. (Just something other than a Tachi, please!) Due to his lore, he’d probably be all about snakes and even own one too. Maybe he’d have a slight slither to his speech. Yet he wouldn’t be the stereotypical snakeman. He’d be more subtle about it, his design more focused on having the intimidating yet alluring aura of a snake rather than trying to actually look almost exactly like a snake. He might also have a line that references eating women, and that could be taken one of two ways. XD
