“At long last, i was to sharpen my claws on a contract. One through a third party to the company, however. There was a Leve involving disturbances at the church in Eastern Thanalan, and we would be sent out to investigate.
Our task?
To bring back a live imp, with the knowledge that once Abaryss’ research was concluded, it would be properly disposed of. He had Mist’s approval for such, so i had no quarrel with the task.
He gave the brief to the group that gathered. Many of these people i had never seen fight before, and so suppose on such a… Low intensity contract as this, i was curious to see how they would act, and move. His partner, Smoke, who i had seen a handful of times at various social gatherings was also in attendance. I minded not, of course - Who brings someone so dear to them along, if they cannot fend for themselves?
We made out to Thanalan, quickly searching for clues, when Zhayna found a spatter of fresh, inky blood on a gravestone… It did not take us long to find our quarry.
With the group split, we were assaulted by imps. Though they are Voidsent, i do not find them especially difficult to dispatch, and we escaped with few, if any injuries.
That was, of course, until we rejoined the main group to find they had discovered a chest, which they had assumed belonged to the church, and returned it…
Though when it bared it’s maw of teeth and exhaled a peculiar gas in Abaryss’ direction… It did not take long for us to put it down. Lonan pierced the creature’s core with a single, impressive strike.
…And after some heated discussion, we opted to take the remains of the Voidsent - And the live imp Abaryss had captured, back to the house, and him to the infirmary.
I would watch the Voidsent, and ensure that nothing untoward would happen to it.
Healing is… Far beyond my skill…”
