❝So you must be one of those cute cat-like human beings dear older sister has told me about, right? Chen, was it…? It sounds cute too! You remind me of Annie’s cat that she owns back in Russia!❞

Surprisingly, Chris was rather nice to Chen due to the knowledge of Annie being friends with her, so why not give Chen a chance as well? It was all for the sake of their friendship start, thanks to Annie’s guidance.

“W-wait…” She’s not cute! Maybe Annie’s cat was cute, sure, but she was not! She’s too weird to be cute, or at least that’s what she thought.

“Oh, you must be Miss Annie’s brother?” Well, that changes things. A brother of Annie’s is a brother of hers! “Yup, I’m Chen! I come from Japan so excuse my English. What’s your name again, though? I think Miss Annie mentioned it once but I can’t remember it well.”

❝My name is Christian, but I’m always usually known as Chris. I’m from Sweden, but Annie adopted me as her younger brother. I guess now I’m your younger brother too!❞

The teenage boy smiled and held out a hand for him to shake his hands with Chen’s.

“Wait a second– Chris? Is that you? I thought you’d be dead or something, shouldn’t you be dealing with Kyo and the others right now? What are you even doing here in front of my home?! If it’s something you want outta me, I’m not interested!” Benimaru boasted, he never really got the hang of Orochi and it’s corrosive power it had got into of many unfortunate victims, but if it’s anything he was aware of is the dangers of being even remotely this close to one of Orochi’s hosts. He won’t admit it, however, that fighting Orochi alone would possibly lead to a horrible disaster. But he kept his chest up, readying to intimidate the child to back off.

“How did you even know I was here…?”

The young, but not-so-secretly immortalized boy was rather impressed that one of Kyo’s companions had the chance to at least talk to Chris himself, but at the same time, Chris has always found dear Benimaru himself a self-loving absorbed weirdo who tries too hard to get most of the ladies’ attention, not to mention that Shermie was one of those ladies that Benimaru was assumed to be hitting on as well.

❝Well, you shouldn’t be surpised, I’ve been brought back alive by this one guy named Verse or something like that. I didn’t even know you lived here...❞

But Chris was not done sending out his thoughts, as he was looking for Iori because of the grudging problem that Yashiro still has against him about the whole fan-gaining fiasco that started the huge fight in the first place.

❝Worry not, though, I’m in a good mood, so I’m not here to fight anybody right now. Now that I found you somehow, I gotta ask...have you seen Iori? I’m asking because later on, Yashiro is gonna wanna talk to him about his fan problem...❞

Chris really wasn’t feeling too well to turn into Orochi at the moment, so you could say that Benimaru was safe, at least for now. Chris knows well that Benimaru was sketched out by his sudden appeance, but that was very much understandable.
