(there's only three of us in my department at school and my coworkers have convinced each other to go to grad school together and they're discussing it in our group chat - which doesn't bother me at all - but i'm just thinking, guys, you really don't need to do this...).

#like #edschool is already so ridiculous #you're really going to go back to school - the place that made me do edTPA for no reason and have 3+ page lesson plans????#also neither of them handle our regular job responsibilities well and are constantly behind on grading or just constantly freaking out #longevity in this career is totally dictated by just chilling the fuck out #(which does not mean coasting or neglecting kids!!!!)#it's not losing your mind at every admin change or stupid training or policy update #we are starting block schedule this year - which they have already biffed beyond belief - and this is when you choose to go to grad school!?

(had a big existential/passage of time/crying freak out on my way home from the city today and this is 100% how i looked at the border patrol checkpoint).
