Casting Call Club - Create voice work, casting calls, and audio projects. Audition for voiceover roles and find voice actors. Bloom - Sims 2 Machinima Series.

The casting call for Bloom has been posted. This is to recast a few actors who I either haven’t heard from or are no longer available to be part of the series, as well as a few new roles for characters that will be introduced in Episode 2 onward. Please share with any voice actors you know who may be interested or audition if you’d like!

Bloom - Holt Family Kitchen (final)

In the first scene of Episode 2, you’ll learn more about the Holt family and their morning routine. This kitchen was a work in progress for some time as I was never happy with the colors, furniture, etc. to get the look and feel I wanted. The Holts live in an old house that’s in need of repair and don’t have much money, so their house is mainly furnished with thrifted and repurposed items. Use the Bloom tag on my blog for more set pictures :-)

Series Return Update:

Original voice actors have been contacted about returning for the series and so far, some have said yes. By the end of this month, I will post a casting call video for supporting roles needed, and for any main character roles that need to be recast. Stay tuned!

Site Updates

Hi all,

Sharing a quick bit of news that the site fonts have been updated and are now hopefully easier to read. I am working on the top navigation bar still. Also, the Main Cast and Supporting Cast pages have been updated. More characters will be added to the Supporting Cast page over time.

Linton - Neighborhood Shots

Back in my game today decorating for the re-launch of Bloom. The city I created for Bloom is Linton, Illinois. If Linton were a real city, I envision it would be about an hour west of Chicago and look something like a mix of Aurora, IL and Naperville, IL. I used a mix of built lots, decorative 3t2 buildings, and Criquette’s decor to create the hood. I limit the number of “detail” decor to keep loading times quick, but so far, this is the best looking neighborhood I’ve been able to create in the game.

Like Totally Sims 2 - 80s & 90s Resource Blog

Hey y’all! My new 80s and 90s cc source blog is live! Like Totally Sims 2 is a resource and “finds” blog for 1980s/1990s inspired content for those who enjoy playing a retro style game. It is still under construction and best viewed on a desktop or laptop so you can use the navigation page to filter your search. Please bear with me these first few days while I post and reblog a lot of content to get the site up and running. It is a sideblog to my main simblr, and if you are interested in helping to source content for the blog, please let me know and I can add you and give you access. French and Spanish Subtitles Now Available for Episode 1!

Bloom Episode 1 now has French and Spanish subtitles available through the Closed Captioning feature on YouTube. Thank you to Sims It for the French translation and to Alfi Sims for the Spanish translation.

For all future episodes, I will provide English subtitles myself as I did with Episode 1, and will have Community Contributions turned on in YouTube, so if you would like to translate the subtitles into your language, feel free to do so!

Bloom Series Update:

The fire to finish Bloom has been reignited under me. It’s somewhat embarrassing to admit this, but when Bloom was the subject of so much criticism/hate when it first premiered, it knocked some fire out of me even though I tried not to let the comments bother me. I put so much time and effort into making the first episode and to have it get ripped apart mere minutes after it was uploaded to YouTube was very discouraging at the time. But stopping me is what those bullies wanted to do, and why should their opinions matter? Why should I give them what they wanted? So I’m going back over the scripts and I want to use this time at home to make as much progress as possible. See who’s still on board and who would need to be recast (so far, Sonali’s voice actress is still on board). Bloom is still a passion project of mine and I want to see it to completion, even if only for myself. I’m making what I want to make and telling a story I believe in, and that’s all that should matter.

Uploaded a quick Fraps test from my new laptop as I try to get back into filming Bloom. I don’t have the full version yet but so far it works well. Nothing toooo special to see here, sorry.

Kinda mad that Fraps didn’t film the best shot I took in these test clips. Oh well.

Lo and behold, I am very pleased to bring you the first pictures from my new game installation!! These are quick and dirty test pictures from the Hoffman home, nothing you haven’t seen already if you’ve followed my Bloom decor posts, but I’m so excited to finally have a functioning laptop and ts2 game that I had to share.

I’ve successfully gotten Radiance 2.4 with Nightracer’s fixes working and these pictures are unedited and use only natural light from the windows.
