🏞️ 300 Followers Gift : The seaside village Neighborhood🍃

🏰 To celebrate this properly, I offer you a fully decorated village, filled with CC-free Maxis lots. I didn't touch the houses, they are as the Maxis creator made them. This is just to fill in the blanks and give you a guide to follow for those who don't know where to start.

🏘️ This district is made up of several parts : a section for witches and fairies, a main section with houses, two large mansion areas🪶

🧜‍♀️ And finally, a remote island to set up a mermaid lagoon and create pirate stories. I originally used it to give a back-story to Captain Khrane - the ghost that haunts the pirate wreck 🏴‍☠️

🏗️ I know, it's not very well done, but it's quite a good place to start when you don't want something too complicated, to decorated, or you don't know how to hundle neighborhood decos.

It happened again. A "quick little idea" spiraled out into a couple of different, bigger ideas. This is a tangent of a side-track...but it's shiny! You can see the upcoming part in my WIP tag, if you wanna. Right now, I have some gazing globes and ways to display them.

This set includes gazing globes/crystal balls in three sizes, a small stand for the smallest globe, marble stands in two sizes which work for all three globe sizes, and wire stands in two sizes that go best with the standard size globe.

You can see it all laid out, in indoor lighting, below. The photo at the top is outdoor lighting.

I'll be releasing some shinier recolors for the globes (for indoors) with the upcoming crystals set.

In this set, the globes and wire bases are repo'ed to The Gazing Crystal from AL. The marble bases are repo'ed to An Odd Foretelling (the other gazing globe) from Seasons. The base for the little globe is repo'ed to the Off The Hook Egg Sculpture from FT. I've also included a recolor for the globes that's the same blue as one of the colors of the AL globe. Dunno why the two globes come in mostly the same colors and not exactly the same colors, but that's EAxis for you. A collection file is also included. Because everything is repo'ed, the file sizes are nice and tiny. The whole set is only around 150kb. Yes, kb, not mb. Tinytinysmall, and little.

The bases each have one slot and can be placed on surfaces. To do this, put the base on the floor, put something on it, then pick the base up and put it on a surface. The globe (or whatever) will stay in the slot. The globes can also be put on the ground or floor, without cheats.

The globes don't have indoor shadows, because it looked very weird with the bases. The marble bases don't either, because they'd cover their own ground shadow. You can see the indoor shadows for the other bases in the second photo. @lordcrumps's shadow file is required and included. (Though you probably already have it, and you only need one copy.)

These will work with @pforestsims' recolors. I couldn't find any recolors of the egg sculpture. Look for more globe recolors, from me, in a bit.

shallow water fake pool tile

so, yeah... decorative pools that don't look like an entry into the abyss!

the mesh consists of two planes: floor tile and water tint. the water tint plane is above maxis water level; any higher and it would probably look unnatural, any lower and it would intersect with waves and lose color in places of intersection. the water texture isn't seamless all around; you might want to avoid combining darker tint shades with floors for which the rotation matters, because then the mismatch becomes more visible.

normally can only be placed in REAL pools (need moveobjects on for corner placement). ofc you can place it outside of pools as well, but the mesh is below ground level, and it doesn't look that good without real water.

can be placed in round pools, too, but watch out for weird shadows. I have some guesses as to why that might happen, but it doesn't bother me much.

both subsets are recolorable. available swatches are below.
