You know what I don't understand? How in media police will bust through a door and yell "You have the right to remain silent" Like it's a threat? Like they're telling them you HAVE to stay silent. that's so strange to me because the right to remain silent is a right PROTECTING people in custody from saying something they regret. It's so silly how films and media have made it a threat over the years. The whole reason police say "you have a right to remain silent" is because when arresting someone they HAVE to recite the person their rights. I don't understand how its become so misconstrued and so BANG YOURE UNDER ARREST SHUT UP NOW
