wendy.
Wendy watched the cashier scan her book, nodding in response to her question. “Yeah, but not for very long. I’ve been enjoying my time here so far though.” She grabbed the bag with her book in it, tapping her shoe in a rhythmic pattern on the wooden floor of the shop. “Anything else you want to know about the town? I’m not sure if I’ll be your best help, but I sure can try to help you out,” she said with a friendly smile.
“ Oh, I’d love help! I don’t want to keep you here longer than you need to be, though... ” The store wasn’t exactly packed, in fact there was very few people in today, but she had a lot of questions. Some the other girl may not be able to answer, going off her comment about how long she’s been here. “I kind of -- well -- I was really involved with my hometown. I want to be just as involved here as I was back home. Though I doubt I’ll know everything in just a couple weeks, I guess,” she laughed sheepishly.
