A tradition that dates back to the 700s, with the first every blossom-viewing party being held by Emperor Saga in 812. Though Japan isn’t where the cherry blossom capitol of the world is ( surprise! It’s Macon, Georgia! ) the country is well known for it’s festivities and scenery! So, without further ado, we would like to introduce HANAMI 2K21 - BNHA RPC Edition!
Feel free to reblog this post to let everyone know!

It had been a pleasant experience, Tomura had to recognize it. Between the food, the sake and the stupid pranks, and just getting to spend time with Dabi outside of the villa this had been the most he had enjoyed in years.
The fireworks are splattering the night sky now, marking the end of the festivities. They have a good view from where they are, all the way back behind and above the crowd on a small natural hill, and sitting partially hidden in the shadows of the sakura trees. Tomura’s been silent for a while now, head tilted upwards and mask pulled back on his hair, his hand on Dabi’s as his thumb draws soft circles on his knuckles, which none of them mention. They have been there for a while, and the crowd has only grown, the colorful spectacle is in its last minutes and unlike them, everyone wants to get just as close as possible for a memorable moment.
Tomura gives a soft squeeze to Dabi’s hand before finally pushing himself to his feet, and gently tug of the other with him, advancing towards the spectators until the excited voices become clear words of awe and laughter instead of just a blurry and distant murmur. He can see the kimonos, fans, and masks quite clearly now, and the happiness on each face. Truly, a quite pleasant event.
— “Well, gotta admit it was nice.“ he expresses aloud, sighing as the last one of the fireworks exploits in a bright rain over their heads and whole families clap in appreciation, children pointing fingers, laughing, and crying for more. With a hum, Tomura crouches on the ground, placing four bare fingers on the soft grass. “But now…” he smirks up to Dabi, mischief and malice in the curve of his lips, “It’s time for the big end, don’t you think?”
A fifth finger joins the others, and as the grass before them starts to whither and die, the ground to split in crannies and the food stalls to crumble, all while the unaware civilians continue to give them their backs, Tomura can’t help the laughter that sprouts from the bottom of his chest.
Finally, it was time for their great spectacle. Dabi had been anticipating this day all week! With all those happy people, the busy festivities and the many, many flammable objects all over the place he’s been itching to burn it all to ash! Had it not been for Tomura, he probably would have already done so on the second day. They’d found other ways to enjoy it. Dabi could say he was glad, grateful even that he’d gotten to spend all this time with him.
But eventually all had to come to an end…
He didn’t let go of Tomura’s hand, letting him guide their way through the crowd. The air felt thick with anticipation, the itch under his skin getting worse as they passed the excited spectators. Somewhere along the way he’d even dropped his mask, but hardly anyone noticed with their eyes glued to the illuminated sky.
Dabi on the other hand only paid attention to Tomura. He happily grinned back at him, silently watching with a mix of awe and nervous excitement as the boss placed his hand onto the ground. In the dark he could hear the cracks before he started seeing them, spreading out quickly and wrecking whatever in their path. It was amazing to watch! And so Dabi waited. For the first to notice. For the happy cheering to be replaced by panicked voices, shouts and for the masses to start backing away!
Only then Dabi let the blue flames erupt from the palms of his hands, illuminating the two of them like they’d appeared out of nowhere. The terror in the people’s faces at the sudden realisation who it was they were dealing with; It was the real firework of that evening!
Nothing held him back anymore. With one fell swoop he light up the cherry blossom trees, flames hotly licking at their surroundings. They were like torches on the path of their destruction, and from their branches the burning petals fell like fire rain to the ground. At the sight Dabi felt his fire burn hotter with exhilaration. The small sparkles in the sky had been nothing compared to his spectacle!
The citizens now ran from the scene in a hasty panic. Stumbling upon one another and screaming in fear. It was hilarious of them to think they could escape. Once he was satisfied with their pleas, Dabi raised his hand against them and let hungry flames hunt after them.
UH - OH! IT SEEMS DABI AND SHIGARAKI DECIDED TO BURN THE FESTIVAL DOWN! I SUPPOSE IT’S A GOOD THING WE HAVE PLENTY OF HERO STUDENTS AND HEROES ON DUTY?
“ I don’t like to destroy the flower trees but it will be a necessary sacrifice for our plan to succeed… ”
“ I’m not comfortable. This place is swarming with heroes. What if they recognise us… ? “
“ Have you heard the rumour that he is somewhere on this festival? To imagine him just mingling here with everyone else… . I wonder if he is looking for more quirks to steal…. “
“ This festival is… too happy for my tastes. I want to ruin it somehow… “
“ I have stolen 5 wallets so far. It’s even easier than taking candy from a child! “
“ I heard you were planning something big for Friday, right before the fireworks begin. Care to fill me in? “
“ I have been prank calling the local heroes at the festival to come to emergencies. It’s hilarious to see them make a run for it! “
It’s now the FINAL day of Hanami, where we’ll wrap up things and end it with a big bang - literally! Make sure you’re here tonight for the fireworks! Booths will stay open through the final event, so make sure you grab some snacks!
It is finally time. Remember to add your blossom petals into the lantern. Lighters and candles will be given out by volunteers all over the place. Once everyone is set we will release the lanterns all at once after the countdown!
Come and watch the demonstration of Yabusame on the great field. Yabusame is the sport of mounted archery, a very difficult to master skill commonly used by the Samurai! It is a show you most definitely won’t forget!
Craft your own lantern for tonight! Share your lantern design with us! Do you stick to a more traditional one or did your muse decide on a more personal spin?
For the lantern release collect a few of the fallen cherry blossoms and make a wish to them. Keep them safe! Because later you will add them to the lantern before release and hopefully your wish will come true!
