"scenario" SOMEHOW(i wrote this just for fun plus im bored) Atrum Galliasta summon's Merlin instead of Medea.

“Greetings. I am Merlin, the Magus of Flowers. Formalities are not something I am very good at… It is odd to be summoned… It should not be possible, yet here I am…”

For this alternate universe Merlin would be absolutely devastated. In this war is the product of his own work, the dragon king which he had helped to create and grew to love. The child he raised in place of Uther as if she were his own. He guided her and protected her. He suffered in Avalon while all he could do was watch helplessly. Not only that, but Merlin was summoned by a despicable human being.

Atrum’s sacrificing of children would disgust Merlin entirely. Merlin would despise being his servant through and through. He would release the children like Medea did, but instead of burning down the workshop, Merlin would utilize the excessive mana given to him by his demon blood to create the crystals for his master.

On his master’s side however, while being thoroughly insulted by Merlin shutting down his workshop he would be pleased with the larger crystals being formed by Merlin. In addition to this, learning that he has Excalibur in addition to his own abilities would make him tremendously happy.

This war will only make Merlin miserable. He cannot allow himself to win because he would not allow for Arturia to die, but let us say this war took the Heaven’s Feel route and Arturia became altered by the grail mud. Merlin would only blame himself for allowing her to draw the sword from the stone and curse himself. He would spiral downward feeling absolutely terrible about himself.

As a side note, if this was a meme I did not reblog it, but I appreciate the ask anyways. However, in the future I ask that you check my blog before sending in ask memes.

“Arturia... Tis been some time since our last encounter has it not?” Merlin scanned her from head to toe &&. bore a smile. She was like a daughter to him. Time had passed by pulling her from him. Arturia slipped from his fingers time &&. time again, but the same fondness was felt upon their meetings.

Merlin had been summoned at Chaldea through means of the FATE system being calibrated to a period when he could not of existed. He was free from Avalon; he was free from watching her suffer helplessly, &&. was free from being out of reach.

“Thou hast certainly grown since I last saw ye...” Merlin began to lightly tear up, “How has Chaldea been for thou?” His emotions were a total mess, she was here &&. could no longer slip from his fingers.
