Well, looks like this old decrepit thing is still up.

“Yep! That’s me!” There was absolutely no shame to be found in this mage whatsoever, not like Anders had very much to begin with. For all he knew, it was probably a little shocking to the other with how much pride he took in being such a troublemaker. “You should have, I mean it’s not like I would have bit you or anything, unless that’s what you’re into. And anyways it’s not like we would have tugged into too much trouble as it was, I mean me and Karl were probably all the Templars could honestly handle.”
If the laugh was noticed, he could probably blame it on that overall generalization of mages right there. Not like Anders could blame the kid, he was pretty much spot on after all. “Either read yourself to death or find a creative way to just flat out die or else. Sounds like a normal Tuesday for mages.”
He shook his head with a chuckle.
“Well then, my good sir, you just leave it to me~ Stroud’s a bit of a surely fellow, but Rolan should be pretty easy for me to work.” Just a bat of the eyelashes, threaten that he’ll run, maybe buy off needing a goat for some sort of blood sacrifice because that’s just how much Templars actually knew about mages… Already there were a few possible plans going through the mage’s head. Honestly, he was pretty damn sure he was going to get an earful for this.
He shook his head. “You can’t tell me you don’t honestly know the stories of the Templars that like to ‘bend the rules’ as they say. I mean, don’t you know the games? ‘The naughty apprentice and the Templar handler’? How about ‘The desire demon and the righteous knight’? It happens so forgive me if I don’t exactly trust this guy to have actually been so nice to you…” It was a story Anders knew all too well, and the number of apprentices he had treated and the preparing of the bodies of those who couldn’t take it were more than enough of a reason for him to be suspicious.
But it seemed his concern was surprisingly nothing to hold up, and he soon found himself nodding along. “Can’t trust the lot of them, honestly. Firstly it’s all ‘Oh you’re a nice magey and I want to be your friend’ and then later on you find your wake-up call is a bloody boot to the face.”
Alice shrugged in response, “Too late to think about what I shoulda done back then, what matters it’s what’s going on now and in the future, right?” a bit of sideways smile from the young man. Alice couldn’t tell if Anders was serious or not about the biting and decided it was probably best to ignore the comment, well at least that was advice. He seldom followed his own advice however good it was, “Biting? Well maybe, but I think you’d have to buy me dinner first at least,” nothing wrong with a light banter. “Karl? Ehh, that’s another unfamiliar name, but I’ll guess at the very least a friend of yours,”
“I’ll leave it to you,” He seemed to know what he was doing anyway, might as well trust that he can do it. He had little to no idea what trouble he would get into and he couldn’t even imagine what Lewis might do over this. But it sounded like a good deal to him for the most part, so why not take it?
“Trust me, he looks like a bear, smells like he’s been sitting in a fire for the last millennium and doesn’t in anyway look like he means well at all,” Alice was idly playing with the white cloth cloak that hung off his shoulder. “And I know the stories…” Well for the most part anyway, it wasn’t one of those kinds of stories. As far as he’d experienced though lewis probably didn’t mean him harm.
A reminded of the wake up calls he received quite often while there. “Tch, you don’t need to remind me of those, but this one ain’t quite so bad at least for now, I’m not saying he’s an absolute saint or that he doesn’t make me miserable, but I could have been landed with much worse, like a guy who wants to take my legs of for even thinking of leaving, ”
blottedpage replied to your post “don’t let cullen scare you off! he obviously WANTS to be kissed.”

Why are you so obsessed with him?
“… You’re going to have to be specific.” This is the mage who tends to attach himself to a lot of people.
“The guy you’ve been staring at for the last couple of days, I’m trying to figure out what has you so captivated," Not that it was really any of his business. Alice just can’t help himself when it comes to the affairs of others.

“Wha—no way! You too?” Well damn, today really was beginning to pan out to be one of the best days ever. “I can say the same, but chances are you’ve probably heard of me. I mean—troublesome blonde boy who escaped a whole bunch of times? Ultimate troublemaker you would never want to be associated with? Ring a bell? Anywaaays my last and final escape was shortly after Uldred had returned so maybe that can pan out a good gap of time.” Well, he assumed anyways. It wasn’t like any mage was actually that familiar with everyone in their respective Circle, maybe just knew that they were there. “You had to have seen them for yourself I mean… they only seem to do one of two things: mentally make love to the books or banter about icky mage politics. Bloody disgusting, really.”
“Fine, fine. You can’t really blame a guy for asking though. Well… if you’re so sure then how about I convince you with this?” And here Anders gave a grin. “You get to actually travel outside of the Circle—with permissions, of course, unless you plan on actually joining the Wardens. Your betters will complain all they want but you wouldn’t have to worry because we can deflect them pretty quickly. Also, no one around to yell at you just because you set someone on fire. All you have to do is let me handle Stroud and Rolan—more specifically reminding them both that we actually do need ourselves more than just one healer. Which… would be me.”
If that didn’t do with any convincing, well… he wouldn’t blame the guy. The Deep Roads weren’t exactly a great place to be, and honestly Anders would be damn surprised if they were actually joined.
“Sounds about right with how those permissions work. Really… I could never figure out what the use is if you’re not allowed to do whatever you want—oh. Oh dear um… wow. That’s a bit much.” Anders couldn’t help but make a face. “At least Griegor had personality, even if it was an angry one… um. Say, he’s not uh… you know.”
“Yeah, I think I heard of you actually,” he snapped his fingers as he remembered the gossip that he’d heard back then, “I remember wondering what kind of guy you were like, why you would risk it, and whether or not I would end up in trouble if I tried talking to you, I mean I was pretty young back then and I had a pretty definite opinion on troublemakers,” Alice thought about it for a minute, let’s see, he was there from the time he was seven to—thirteen, maybe? Alice stopped keeping track of that stuff for the most part anyway.
Two mages pouring over books like their life depended on it and squabbling over politics is what came to mind. “Well, sounds like what a lot of mages do for the most part,” Thinking back to where he was currently staying, it was a lot of them. A part of him wondered if there was any kind of jealousy for those books, but dashed the thoughts pretty quickly. “Not really a whole lot for us to do,” he shrugged a bit.
That sounded too good to be true. And being a specialist in healing, he didn’t necessarily have to be on the front lines and fighting. He looked at Anders in all seriousness. “Sold, where do I sign up?” How he would love to be able to just do as he pleased, when he pleased. No threat of death, no getting yelled at and no one to really answer to. And Anders didn’t seem like the kind of hardass that would be hard to work for—or with for that matter. Actually, this sounded like a dream come true.
He looked at Anders with more than just a little confusion. “Well… I don’t exactly get what you’re implying?” he shrugged “Anyway, aside from creepy as hell the guy isn’t too bad, like I said he saved my neck more than once and it seems like he’s always watching out for me more than anyone else,” the young blond picked up a stone and turned it over in his hand. “He gets angry pretty quickly, has one hell of a sweet tooth and don’t get me started on how much of a mess he really is,” Alice’s words were toned in complaint.
Though they did have some good moments together, often caused by the young man’s impulses. But he wasn’t going to bring any of that up, he had no idea how this stranger would react. “Bottom line though, Lewis is a terrible person, I don’t feel too safe with him and he’s creepy,” About this point Alice was just staring straight ahead in thought.“.. He’s surprisingly gentle,” Alice murmured still in thought.
Do you ever start RPing with someone and they’re just so damn good at their character and you’re, like, a drunk llama pounding the keyboard and you have to physically restrain yourself from apologizing after every reply but you’re trying to play it cool like maybe they won’t notice how bad you are and

“Should have been around Ferelden, my friend. Niall and Torrin alone in the bloody tower would have made you think there are actually people out there who married them, I swear…” But that was enough of that now. If he spoke anymore about that crummy place, Anders was sure he would actually, Maker forbid, miss it.
So disturbing.
He did have to admit, however, the blonde had a point. Just what the hell was the point when there wasn’t anything impressive going on to show off with? It was pretty pointless, in his opinion. “You’re telling me. Mean, I’d show, but for that you’d have to be willing to come along on our Deep Roads exhibition.” A pause. “And you reeaaaally don’t look like the kind of guy who’d actually want to be caught dead in such a place. I wouldn’t blame you, it’s bloody awful.” Understatement of the century, but that wasn’t the point here.
Still though, he had to admit that this guy did seem capable if he wanted to join. Or—at least that’s the feeling he got with that whole story and whatnot. And honestly? He thought he was the troublemaker here.
“Mmm… from one fellow unwanted magic user to another, I’d say you were lucky. The bloody bastard where I came from was probably happy to see me gone for good. Or he died. Don’t really know what happened to anyone after that talk about demons and such…”
“Feralden?” A brand new interest was piqued. “You were at Feralden? When? I don’t remember seeing a face like yours,” his time there was kind of a blur, now that he thought about it. “but I guess I never really talked to anyone there before I was transferred, so maybe your face is just part of the blur,” Who he had met and what he’d done besides look longingly over the horizon wasn’t actually that clear. Never thought he’d actually look back at the past. “Really? That bad, huh? I think they might be as bad as this butterfly girl I know, she might as well be married to the library an’ all the books inside,“ Ah, but he had nothing short of fond memories of her. “She’s really cute though, I’d probably do just about anything if she asked me too,” This was more of a passing thought as the dark skinned woman crossed his mind.
“Probably not, I’m a huge coward and it would probably get me in trouble if I deviated from the path assigned to me, aaat least I’d hear an earful about how long it took and that they almost sent a hunting party for me,” He straightened up and put his hands on his hips as he began his imitation, “Where the hell have you been Alice? Are you just that slow and stupid that you lost your way or did you finally decide you’d had enough and ran, wouldn’t that be great hunting? You know we almost sent one thinking you wouldn’t come back, but look at this we have our lost duckling right here,” all in an attempted feminine voice to make a point about whom he would have to hear from. “So, thanks for the offer but yeah I’m going to agree with the last part and pass, maybe I’ll see you guys in action and hopefully I’m not at the other end of it,”
It honestly didn’t occur to him that it was actually in any form an invitation to act as part of the party, he figured it was just an invitation to observe. Either way, he wasn’t going to push his luck.
“Maybe, I’m not sure what the guy wants from me. If he has something he wants to do he makes me tag along, most of my trips outside have been because of whatever errands he had, but he often gets this look like he really wants to kill something, but not in an angry way.. i don’t know…. He’s just really creepy,” He grimaced at the thought of the man in question, “His eyes are probably the worst part, they’re….. umm, hollow? Like, when I look at them they’re just these empty things that destroy any kind of light.” Just thinking about the guy gave him cold chills.
