Every step of life leads to the unexpected. Sometimes it's dramatic, sometimes it's painful, and sometimes it brings peace.

Adam blends in with NC easily. Born and raised in their little Rancho house, he's the middle child in a family of five. His mom and dad worked regular jobs that kept them decently comfortable, living as much of their American suburban dream as they could. His older brother was always smart and worked towards a nice corporate position that took him farther into the city; his little sister, who was bright and charismatic, was preparing to go off to college with a group of her own friends in tow. Adam had always been thoughtful and inquisitive, but that never translated to school as it did for his siblings, so he started doing any odd job that came his way right after graduation. His mother doesn't love that he didn't try to push himself farther in school, that he didn't head off to college and get a more serious job like his brother or keep going after schooling until he found his niche like his sister. The idea of office life never suited him, and spending more money on schooling that wouldn't take him farther than a pool of debt didn't suit him either. 

So Adam started looking for work. Spending long nights grilling at scop stands that turned into day shifts, he hopped between working at body shops and cleaning up ripper clinics, even started driving those big transport trucks stuffed full of corpo junk across every part of the city his tires could touch. He eventually found himself working construction, a job he stuck with for well over a year until one morning he got a frantic call from his "merc" friend Terry about needing help with something.

One gig. Just a quick job. Transport some cases of something for some fixer in Tiger territory. Terry just needed a driver; the girl he normally worked with was blowing chunks into a docs trashcan and had no way of making it in time for the drop. Adam would get half the eds, a break from manual labor, and be able to spend the afternoon doing anything he wanted for the first time in months. Safe to say he gave his boss an excuse and went along with it.

The job wasn't hard. The meeting was quick, a handover that lasted no more than 30 seconds: a nod, a handshake, and then everyone parted ways. Adam and Terry went out for a beer and spent the rest of the day in good spirits. 

The next day came, and Adam was right back in his normal routine, which didn't change again for another couple of weeks. Then Terry called again, because of course he would. Another job needed running, and Adam went off again, and again, and again.

He hadn't realized he was falling into the edgerunner life until he got his first call from a fixer looking to hire him directly. He hadn't expected to get more calls or to spend more time on jobs. He never expected he'd start picking out chrome to replace muscle, and certainly never thought about becoming a decently well-known solo either.

Adam never expected the direction that his life went in. A normal Rancho kid who planned to do grunt work for the rest of his days, becoming known and respected in circles of killers and thieves. He never expected the bright, bold start, the high of being trusted, and a life that he loved and protected with all his heart.

When the day comes when Night City decides to take it all from you, after you've thrown everything away and lost everything you care about, another chance will always find you. It is unfair, it is cruel, and yet, it will always find a way to be beautiful.

OUR FINAL BOY HAS ENTERED AND EVERYONE HAS BEEN PROPERLY INTRODUCED! *Crowd is screaming their heads off* Welcome in Adam, whose story is definitely not what it seems: a man with an ever-changing life and no direction.

The current plan is to now get these posted as one long intro chapter on AO3 and finally start getting Life Blur going! Their full-body drawn art has also started, and I am very excited to be able to post it when I have completed everyone's pages! (((o(*ﾟ∀ﾟ*)o)))

Another Frankie Wip! I am putting this into CSP and trying out some backgrounds so I can get back into digital art. I'm thinking about making these side profiles for each character and then proper front and side full body character pages.

I realized that I do not know how the human back shapes work as I was drawing this, so it is back to anatomy studies for me (　ＴДＴ)

Never wanting for anything is impossible. Humans are greedy and always have been, even when they have everything.

Vivienne grew up like any other spoiled corpo child with every opportunity and anything she wanted dropped at her feet. Her parents loved her and wanted her to do whatever she liked with her life, even if it meant that she didn't follow in their corporate footsteps.  The choice being there is part of why she's always loved them so much, even if they aren't super close. They were proud when she decided to join up with Kang Tao, but they would have been just as proud if she decided to do nothing and stay at home too, lazing her life away, comfortable and safe. 

Most people resent her for having that option.

Spending her entire life surrounded by people hating or wanting to know her for her family's power never felt good. Most people in her position like knowing that they have one up on everyone, knowing they're being hunted but thriving, knowing that everyone around them is scraping for a chance at a sliver of their influence. Wanting a relationship or friendships is considered secondary, just another check on the list of ways to bolster your place at the top. 

Knowing that every person she crosses paths with approaches her with ulterior motives never gave her that high. Constantly having to dodge her way through everyone's lies started breaking her down as the years passed. Viv has always been caring and loving ever since she was a kid, so spending her whole life with surface-level friendships and only knowing betrayal when she got too close and revealed who she really is left its scars over everything. 

The choices she made to protect herself and her family keep her up at night, even if she would never go back and change them.

So, Vivienne decided that she wouldn't let the corpo world eat her feelings alive and branched out. It's not like she had never gone into the regular world on her own before. She's been around all kinds of people, traveled the world, and experienced more than most have ever had the chance to. But Night City is a different kind of beast entirely, a million different paths constantly intersecting and changing at the speed of light. 

Vivenne started her pursuit of friendship with lackluster hopes, a bundle of bad experiences, and constant disappointment. Escaping to the everyday hustle and bustle of the NC public didn't seem to make it easier either. So the day when she ran headfirst into one of the best people in her life almost doesn't feel real.

She never expected that the life that kept her in limbo for so long would serendipitously lead her to exactly what she'd been looking for from the start.

AND THEN THERE WAS ONE! Only one character left to introduce, but I am happy to finally share Vivienne's intro post. Her intro feels more serious than I had initially meant for it to be, but I like it. Once we get our last friend out of the way, I can start on the first comic! Progress is being made, fellow humans! d=(^o^)=b

I keep forgetting I wanted to draw everyone properly before the comic however I kind of just want to write!

Growing up nomadic sounds like a dream to some people. Out on the road, a family built on more than just blood, where everyone is level with everyone else. You do what you're best at, and you do whatever helps the clan. There's always a place for you among your family.

In this family, Kat had always felt like the odd one out from the beginning. She was born in the clan but never liked that she was treated just like everyone else, a point of contention between her and her bio family. Because wanting to be loved differently by your mother is unfair to the other kids. "She's everyone's mom, not just yours. Don't be selfish Kat."

Her mom treated every kid the same way she treated Kat, even when Kat told her she wanted to feel special to her. "We are all a family, not just you and me," she'd say. So Kat tried, over and over again, she tried to be like everyone else, to not want that connection so badly, to blend that burning urge of familial want into everyone else in her life. It never worked.

The final straw for Kat was on the day after her 10th birthday, when she'd gotten into a fight with another kid, a girl with wispy blonde clumps of hair on either side of her head, well, one clump now. Kat had been shoved to the ground by clump hair, scraping her hands, and ended up bruising her knee so badly she was limping. Kat went to her mother in tears, clutching her pant leg while babbling incoherently about what happened.

She remembers how it felt to be held, her mother's hands running gently through her hair while she soothed her. She let Kat cry until she was calm and spoke to her as if she was hurt for her as well, telling her that it wasn't her fault and that the little girl was in the wrong. She cleaned Kats' scrapes gently and wrapped them up, kissing the spots that still hurt all better again before sending her off.

Kat didn't know how long she'd been wandering around for after that. Maybe it was the events that followed which made her kid brain only remember heading back towards her mother's tent and stopping outside when she heard their voices. The little blonde girl was sitting at the edge of her mom's cot while her mother knelt in front of her and bandaged her scrapes too. Her mom repeated the same words she'd told Kat, in the same tone, with the same amount of love in her face, telling her it wasn't her fault. She watched her mom reach over and tickle the pouting child and kiss her bandages, telling her that Mom made it all better now.

As an adult Kat knows it seems painfully childish to let something like that change your entire perspective on the life you want to live. As a child all she saw was the final nail in the coffin of her never being special to her family. She could never bring herself to love her mother the way she had before that day. She stopped seeking her mother out, started becoming more closed off about her real feelings but stayed blunt when she needed to speak to others. She started to form her own views and opinions, found what comforts her, what makes her angry, what she craves from life entirely.

This random day as a child was the beginning of Kat realizing where she wanted to take her life. Away from the clan, away from both forms of her “real” family. Looking forward to a family that she wanted and built herself, a life that could fulfill her, and finding the kind of love she has always craved.

Katrinas intro is here! This is one of my favorite shots I took of my OCs for their intros, and she is the closest visually to her drawn design (even though this is a shot from behind). Also, I realized I've never talked about the story/comics title, which is Life Blur! I will make sure to make a cover and add the tags Life Blur and Life Blur: Comic to each character post from now on

Frankie testing spread, started this page to play around with my new (old) acrylic markers while working my ideas out for him. Mostly exists as a way to get my ideas out and minorly thumbnail poses for later!

When he was "too old" for the orphanage (10 year olds are ready to take on the world, right?) He was handed a backpack half-filled with enough supplies to last him a week or two and walked out the front door. Didn't take it personally, just how it was when the beds were full and there were 10 more tiny bodies waiting outside. Wasn't even too bad if you already knew your way around. He spent his first week on the streets sweet-talking old ladies into giving him snacks and becoming friends with a scop vendor who let him spend the night under his stall after closing to hide from the rain. 

Then, one day, he took a walk with his bag around his shoulders, old but clean shoes pounding the pavement while he looked for something to do and somehow, miraculously, Frankie stumbled his way into 10,000 eddies. 

Started with a rich corpo in a shiny car parked on the side of the road, cigarette smoke billowing out as he calmly took down the person on the other end of his call. Someone yelling on the other line must have said something about being owed, and the corpo simply told him that the money would never be anything more than his, no matter who he handed it to, and that they wouldn't have to worry about so much as seeing his own money ever again. He ended the call, and just as Frankie was going to walk away the man addressed him with a simple "You." Frankie looked up and watched as the man tossed the wad half-hazardously in his direction and then retracted his hand and continued smoking as the driver pulled off without a second glance.

Now, one thing to know about Frankie is that he has always from an early age had a dream of being filthy stupid rich. He wanted to be a Rockstar rich without the Rockstar. A corpo Millionaire without the corp, if you will. Rich for no reason and with no responsibility levels of rich. And even if it was flippant and baffling, the only thing 10 year old Frankie could think about was the fact that he wanted to have so much money that he could throw away 10k like that too.

So, little Frankie took his cash, shoved it into his shirt, and set off on his goal. The first thing he bought himself was a solid gold chain. Was that stupid? Yeah. But was it also the most preem reminder of who he wanted to be? Fuck yeah it was. 

The second thing he got himself was a dirt-cheap mold-infested room to rent, even if it was dirty and stunk of BO it was better than asphalt. And then he took himself out to eat and got a monster plate of nachos with REAL vegetables on top. It was the best thing he'd ever tasted in his life, on the best day of his life so far. He would never let go of this feeling again. 

So, this is the intro post for my oc Frankie! I had planned to make a post with all 4 characters and their information but I ended up struggling to find mods to get everyone looking the way that I wanted. So take these in-game character shots with a grain of salt (I spent hours on mods and posings only to realize halfway I forgot to add his cyberware) as I will be drawing my OCs in their more official designs separately!

Each OC will get their own post, then I am going to start making the initial comics and will be posting written story bits on AO3! It will be my first time writing a proper story as well as converting the story into a comic once I get the hang of things, so please look forward to it!

I just got back home from the TADC movie and all I have to say is that it was such a beautiful way to close out this story, I am not heartbroken and it was hopeful (even if i cried a bit) what a good ending

Skyrim. I feel that I missed out of a masterpiece, even if I know the entire story secondhand now

I've started writing a fanfic that has nothing to do with atla however I truly do not understand what crumbs people are seeing for Zukka from the film but that doesn't stop my own personal headcannon that Sokka would be a very very forward bottom while Zuko would be a stupidly nervous top. Sokka being in charge from down below suits my tastes just right.

The flow of the mind makes no sense and knows no bounds.

Having the entire film leaked is insane but what really bothers me is how bad the dialogue is and how poorly they handled the pacing of the story.

This has become a common critique throughout the film industry in recent years and it sucks to say this about a piece of media I was beyond excited for, but this story can be told without every character stating who they are, what they do, and why they do it every single time they are on screen. The self narration of their every action and personality trait makes it feel like the writers forgot that this is a film expanding on a story that has existed since 2005. Then subsequently forgot that this film is almost entirely for a community that has also been present ever since 2005. We know these characters. Build out their expanded personalities through their actions as the story progresses instead of doing it all at once directly from the character themselves.
