First off, frickin NO. Here’s the issue right, vore is weird, it’s quirky. See, here’s the thing. My cousins, who never knew what vore was before we had a good conversation about it explained how people will make anything sexual, or a fetish. Guess what, the SFW vore community is filled with SFW vore. No way/sarc. Not everything is a fetish :)

Yep! It’s a good way to cope. The people who participate on the SFW side either have it as a coping mechanism or a comfort fantasy, or enjoy the concept. The idea of being the closest you could possibly be to someone you love is comforting to so many people (me included!). The white noise you can hear–heart beating, lungs breathing–, and the controlled environment. It’s something we enjoy, something that makes us feel better.

Yes, I have seen this question. I do not need to explain this, at all. This has made me and my friends uncomfortable, please never ask this. That would be prying into our personal lives, many of whom would never like to have this brought onto social media. Never ask this question.

Holy.

I just finished reading @toast-tales beauty and the beast au ‘Cursed Cravings’ and it is sooooooo freaking good. It’s been a while since I’ve been (or read for that matter) on tumblr but that was definitely a banger to come back too. I just like how structured it is, it doesn’t feel like they were scrambling around randomly for the plot, but like they had at least a relatively detailed outline in mind at the beginning. Combined that with their (obviously) practiced writing (they don’t just skip scenes by sleeping (like beginners), they’re able to do what artists do in that they’re still showing the main image, but if it’s in the background it has less detail, the dialogue flows naturally, etc…). It’s just amazing overall (especially including the story itself). Can’t wait to read their other series.

The thing about people using delusional as an insult or "delulu" as the trendy new term is that sometimes I really want to sit someone down and tell them that I think they're genuinely delusional and that they can get support and help if they're living with psychosis and that they absolutely aren't alone but even the most neurodivergent-positive person will respond as if I'm calling them the most horrible words in existence.

Delusional is a neutral term. Being delusional is a neutral state. When you contribute to the stigma around delusions and being delusional, you are stealing valuable language from people dealing with psychosis and people who are seeking help and support for the things they're going through. And as a delusional person, it really fucking sucks.

I’m currently trying to convince my roommate to seek some help about exactly this kind of thing and the biggest battle I’m having is over the idea that they’re delusional and how they can’t be because they’re not a bad person and why would I say that and it’s genuinely very frustrating because I’m not criticizing them I’m saying “I see you struggling and I want to help”

Yes, yes, this exactly! Like the stigma around delusions and psychosis in general is so fucking bad that even SUGGESTING someone could be experiencing psychosis is seen as an attack on their character, their morals, and their ability to exist around other people. It's such a painful thing to deal with and it means that a lot of people who could be getting help, taking medication, going to therapy, building support systems, finding coping skills, etc are instead just suffering as their mental state gets worse and worse.

So many people are unable or unwilling to get help and live with the stigma and mistreatment and so many of those people end up reaching a breaking point where they hurt themselves or others. So much pain could be avoided if we as a society talked about psychosis openly and honestly and stopped tolerating ableist language that demonizes people just for existing.

Personally I like Marx and think he's worthwhile to read and I'm a relentless "actually read theory" person. However, I think we sometimes frame this in a way that seems pedantic, didactic, and elitist. Ultimately it sounds like I want you to do something boring, even if it's for your own good.

In reality, I started reading theory because I enjoyed reading it. I enjoy reading more than most people so I'm not the more representative example. Still, in the right context theory is inspiring, invigorating, and cathartic.

Finally, reading is often more enjoyable when we do it together. Don't just read theory. Read theory with people you care about or who you want to sleep with. Leftist reading groups are an enduring part of the culture for a reason.

Borrowers having their own gardens and livestock in the form of sprouts and grubs. Indoor grow beds made of plastic wrap to keep the dirt in and stolen lights. It stays warm inside, so as long as they keep grabbing beans they're set for some kind of leafy green. Or better yet, edible moss that's been selectively bred to be thicker and more flavorful, to thrive in more environments. City borrowers having moss gardens on apartment sides facing away from the sun, or maybe carved out of the outside wall, with windows to let just enough light in. Not the best for winter growing, but moss preserves itself pretty well.

Grub farms from domesticated beetles, the adults help pull carriages, while the larva are eaten. Borrowers always having slices of smoked grub on them because of their fast immune system. Maybe older colonies have more varieties in the bugs they eat, maybe some have tamed quail or pigeons and eat those eggs. Maybe bug eggs made into stew with bean sprouts moss.

Maybe borrower colonies in abandoned buildings with whole farms on the rooftops, maybe they've bred plants to be smaller, like we've bred them to be bigger. Maybe large markets beneath the city, that aren't very tall, but sprawl across a city block. I feel like their economy would be mostly trading, they're not connected enough for widespread capitalism like humans, and so any attempt would likely end with you being laughed out of town.

Maybe those borrowers that tame quail deliver messages, maybe there's a postal system, maybe it's a dangerous and noble job delivering letters. Maybe they dont stop at quail, borrowers with saddles for pigeons, crows, hawks if theyre adventurous. Messenger's earning a wild birds trust with offerings of food, or hand raising a chick. Borrowers that teach others how to fly, and have ranches dedicated to birds.

Maybe there's tunnel systems underneath cities, light up by long strings of fairy lights that sone poor sucker is paying the bill for. Maybe there's basic trains made from parts, maybe the conductors do it for the love of the game, or maybe there's a small fee for each passenger. Maybe some have weekly schedules of what to pay them, and some just shrug and accept whatever.

I just have fun thinking about it, if you couldn't tell.
