It’s been fun but I think it’s time......
To be honest, this has been in the back of my mind for quite some time (and the reaction to recent world events have pushed this decision even more).
Eight years ago I started this blog to write out my thoughts and opinions on shows or games that I’ve been enjoying. It was something I did just for fun. However, I have now reached a point where I am outgrowing tumblr.
I’m amazed that I’ve lasted this long but I’ve reached my limit. Being here is no longer fun or worth the risk of attracting toxic people with a toxic mentality because I dare to have a different opinion (I’m lucky enough to not have this happen to me but why keep it going?). To be honest I find it frightening. It also doesn’t help that my opinions have changed over the years, leading me to cringe at some of my old posts.
I could go on about my other grievances but I’d rather not. Like I said, I’m done. I’m getting ready to move on.
I’ll keep my blog up for now but sooner or later I’m likely going deactivate it.
Until I make that decision, I would like to say thank you to all my followers who have been here for the last 8 years. You’ve been great but it’s time for me to go and try out new things.
