Don’t discount the story of a character because they’re the antagonist.

My Little Pony: Vänskap är magiskt ♡ S4E9 Pinkie Apple Pie

This episode has been a favourite for me ever since it came out so rewatching it again was fun :> I find it heartwarming and the found family message it portrays with the ending is nice to see. I love how happy everypony is to to accept Pinkie into the family, Apple Bloom even calls Pinkie her sister at one point in the beginning of the episode which I think is so sweet! ^^ Apples to the Core is one of the best songs from the show, in my opinion. The original is great and I think it was well dubbed into Swedish, I especially love Pinkie's verse <3 take a listen if you feel like it:

The 2 main reasons I prefer chemistry + crossover shipping to canon/fanon?

( and will 90% of the time ONLY ship C/CO? )

There are WAAAAAY too many ridiculous expectations set and "fan-policing" on canon and fanon ships. They suck ALL the fun out of everything and make it a Fictatorship. Players and fandom ruin all that is fun and good about shipping with their "infallible insights" on said ships. On that same vein, players of those canon/fanon ships jump all over your canon character expecting you to let the humping/marriage crap begin out the gate, simply because they are the other one-half of a canon/fanon ship. There's NO build-up or any effort. These always leave me flat, bored, limited, and annoyed by the tunnel vision of such shippers.

If I ship whatever I want, chemistry and crossover-wise, NO ONE, not even source material can take it away from me and my partner/s. It's OURS. Our ship, our verse, our vision, our drama, our storyline, our PACE. And, it lives exclusively in its own safe bubble where no one can get to it but us. Sure, we may get annoying third parties criticizing us, but to quote Cersei Lannister: "They're all so small, I can't even see them." There's no expectations and no pressure to chemistry-based and crossover ships. Just love and fun! And of course, most importantly: no bias or 3rd party bs.

I feel like this is True of ANY fandom. the bottom line of this is: it’s something called Our Opinion. if we don’t like your ship then accept that and move on. not everyone has the same Ship as you, I myself have found that Remaining Neutral of Ships and Keeping myself open instead of Confining myself to the bullshit that is “Canon” or “Fanon” shipping is much more flexible and less Grounding, Same with Shipping Canon Characters together: I don’t have a biased to who I’d like to see together because it really does Depend on the Chemistry of the Pair.

do their personalities work well together? do they enjoy each other’s company that isn’t a Fan shoving them together for the sake of a ship? do they actually have something Common to Mingle over? are they opposites that can still get along? are there Boundaries or dislikes of the character that don’t agree with the ship?

most people don’t consider these kind of questions. they see two characters they think are “Cute” together or want to see them Shipped because “Lol they’d make good sex.” and leave it at that. OR some people are just plain Thirsty for a couple and just want to watch them hump like bunnies and do nothing else with them.

the most infamous Ship (at least imo) is Soarin’ and Rainbow Dash. because “Deerrrr... She wants to be a wonderbolt and Soarin’ is the only ‘male’ wonderbolt on the team let’s make them have babies and fuck.” 🤨 now excuse me but... there’s more to a relationship/Chemistry than that. if you actually Looked at their Characters at all in the Show, you’d know that they don’t actually have any Chemistry to them at all. in fact they actually have a lot of Factors working against them “as a couple.”

Zelda Rupees, I have my own theory on them: when Rupees reach a certain number, say you get a bunch of greens, they'll change into the next highest value: so greens will turn to blue, enough blues will turn into reds and enough blues and reds will merge into a purple etc, with the highest value of a Rupee being 300 at Gold, so in Link's wallet there'd be a magical thing going on where his rupees are converting into their highest values as he goes about collecting them, since Hyrule are dumbasses who put their rupees in chests and pots and Rupees seem to appear from just cutting patches of grass which makes my theory even more solid because I doubt people are just hiding/dropping Rupees in grass in the middle of nowhere.
