• Seer abilities, I think his vision mimic seizures In a way or his body has a very similar response to having one that a seizure would have. Especially hen he was younger they could take a while for him to actually recover from. Terrified poor Albus the first time Gellert had one with him especially since even in the books Albus is sceptical of divination magic (in his later years) and I think he was worse or more sceptical when he was younger so I don’t think he truly knew the intensity. I think when he was younger he exclusively had these kinds tho but mostly gets short visions as he got older and only really big vision are like that.

✦ I headcanon Gellert as intersex. For me, it adds an interesting layer to his character, especially in how he relates to identity and control. In this interpretation, any conflict he has isn’t because of being intersex itself, but because of the environment he was raised in. Growing up in a place like Durmstrang, with what i think is likely has rigid ideas about strength and masculinity. Because of that, I imagine he leans heavily into performing masculinity, even though it doesn’t come naturally to him. The tension he carries is less about his body and more about the expectations placed on him, and the pressure to fit into something he was taught was the only acceptable way to exist. I also like to imagine Veela as inherently intersex, though usually presenting as male or female. It’s not canon, but I think it adds something more interesting to the worldbuilding, especially since canon only really explores female Veela. I also like Albus Dumbledore as a really important contrast to all of this. He’s one of the first people who simply accepts Gellert as he (in general not just in this context) and I think albus is very comfortable with gender and encourages him to let go of that rigid performance and exist more comfortably in himself.
Again i think albus dose this in general for Gellert he is eccentric and i think Gellert is a rather fun person he is described as mary but i don’t think that was socially acceptable for him but it is with Albus. I think this way just adds another extra layer for Gellert character or further exploration on how Albus makes him more comfortable.

Percival was raised in Ireland and Kendra in America; they met quite young, both fresh out of education. They are incredibly different people, Kendra is very academic and intellectual, very much Albus’s double, and Percival is more like Aberforth.I think Kendra was extremely intelligent but, for some reason, wasn’t able to fully pursue her studies or reach her full potential, which creates that underlying theme of missed opportunity around Albus’s upbringing.
I also have a headcanon that in his younger years Albus displayed no magical abilities at all, and he and his family believed he would be a Squib because there just seemed to be nothing there. This caused a lot of tension and arguments within the family. There is the possibility that his magic didn’t appear due to the stress surrounding Ariana and Aberforth, which makes his later brilliance feel even more hard-earned. This is also why, when his mother died, he was so resentful, he felt like he had only just become free of the responsibility of looking after them.
They originally lived on a farm before moving to Godric’s Hollow after Percival’s imprisonment, taking only the goats with them, which adds to that feeling of loss and instability in his early life.

Gellert also has this massive great Pyrenees that follows him everywhere. Aberforth of course has a fondness for farm animals the only thing he can have the slightest bit of respect for is Gellert owning this big livestock dog. The dogs name is Fergie or Ferguson. I think gellert exclusively calls him Ferguson but everyone else thinks thats to long for a dog.

Surprisingly Albus doesn’t have a canon wand description of his original wand which I thought he would honestly. Either way I thought it would be interesting the elder wand is 15-inch wand made of elder wood with a Thestral tail hair core. I wanted both Albus and Gellert original wands to have something of the elder wand or its characteristic. Both as way for them to contrast each other and to emphasise why these two were the most powerfully welders of the wand. Either way Albus nit having a canon wand descriptior is very fun for me I really enjoy researching the wand types and combinations its really interesting.
This was originally all more rambly I had to put things in sorta bullet points at time to not over waffle and not get some information just lost in bulks of text when it was simple state,mst with no expansion.
Also have Aberforth and Ariana I don’t really have any headcannons for them 😬 I originally was going to give them their own post but I'll just out it herd instead.

In the books, Albus’s eyes are described a lot as being a piercing bright blue, and constantly twinkling. I really want to convey that in my art, but I don’t draw eyes with a lot of detail in all honesty often, and it annoys me a bit because I really want Albus to have these eyes. So, I decided to do a more detailed eye study for him and then decided to do Gellert’s eyes as well.
I draw Albus’s eyes as always being a bit down-turned and melancholy; they have always looked older than he is. Gellert’s, I think, I wasn’t fond of Depp’s really bright white eye and black eye, so I’ve always drawn them as a pale blue and brown. I made his eye a bit too white here mostly because I wanted it to have a slight opal-like quality to it but I’d usually draw it more blue and i imagine Gellert’s brown eye to be warm and golden in a way that doesn’t always suit his personality.

I have a headcanon where Gellert’s eyes are the same colour and one eye only glow white when he has a vission. Since him having heterocromia was not a thing in the books. But I also like the head-canon of him being blind in one eye, but I do think it would make dueling more difficult so I feel as that one feels more fandom coded.
I have to try to draw them smiling more, they lool so sad here.
Just little sketches of a Fem Gellert and Albus solely because I wanted to draw pretty dresses
For names I choose Geraldine for Gellert as it is the feminine form of Gerald, meaning “mighty with a spear,” while Gellert is a German/Hungarian variant of Gerard, meaning “brave with a spear,” so they feel quite similar. Geraldine also has Old German and French origins. Just felt like a natural name to pick for me.
I chose Albany for Albus because it means “white hill” or “mountain” and comes from the Latin Albanus and the Scottish Gaelic name for Scotland, Alba and Albanus deprives from Albus, and both Albanus/Albus mean “white” or “bright”.
I think this is all right correct me if am wrong tho.
I really enjoyed the dresses they’re not very accurate to the 1890s, but they’re fun and pretty, which is what matters to me. I also forgot Albus glasses am sorry 😔
